Personalized Whimsy Box w/Profile Goodies

This sounds like a really fun swap, but a rating of 4.5 seems a little low, not to mention allowing newbies makes this seem like flaker bait. I would like to join, but the restrictions aren't strict enough for me. Maybe make another one for more experienced swappers?

Well being a quasi newbie myself I didn't want to leave perfectly decent but new swappers out. I think you are right on the 4.5 rating though (I am going to change it to 4.9); perhaps I am being too nice. Thanks for the input. I will be looking at profiles carefully.

So sad I got banned from this swap!! When I signed up it said a 4.5 rating.. then all of a sudden it went up to a 4.9.. I understand why but I wish I knew that rating was going to be changed because I would have signed up in the 1st place.

do you think you could change the send out date? That is not very much time to a find a cigar box somewhere b. embellish it then c. fill it with goodies

I am going to leave the send out date as is. The reason for this is that I am going out of town on August 8th and after that I will not be able to use the internet as frequently for about a week. I want to have time to make sure everyone has sent out their boxes before I leave. And all apologies to anyone who was banned from the swap, if this wasn't such an expensive swap I wouldn't be so picky.

Where do you find these boxes?

Hi Holly. The kind of box you use is not terribly specific, anything that close to the size of a cigar box is fine. I don't have a specific place I find these. I usually pick them up at thrift stores or garage sales. If you can't find a cigar box, you could pick up a craft box from a craft store such as Micheal's; something with either a lid or a lid that is attached and lifts up...either works.

I'm sorry I'm having to drop out of this one.. I find myself a bit overextended and will be without a paycheck for the first 2 weeks of August. : ( Please do this one again!

I would love to do this one too, but the send date is too soon. You can't even assign partners till the 29th so that's less than one week to work on it.

I will probably do another one in the future if this one goes well, and next time there will be a larger time frame in which to get the swap together. As it is though I already explained WHY the date is what it is.
