I really enjoy keeping a journal, but have a hard time getting myself to sit down every day and write what happened. I've found that keeping a journal for a swap, and then sort of shipping your problems away, is very therapeutic, and also very fun! For this swap you will be keeping a journal for one month. In the journal you can write about...well, whatever you want! Talk about your day, reveal your hopes and dreams, try to squash you fears, whatever floats your boat. This journal is an extension of you, so get creative! Feel free to write poems or stories, add photos, make collages, doodle in the margins, whatever helps you express your feelings. I encourage you to paste in mementos from your every day life and alter the journal as you please, but these are optional. Please write at least 20 journal entries for the month. What each entry consists of is up to you. This is the Harajuku Girls, so keep that in mind when you're altering and adding things! You will also be including at least 2 extras with your journal that help your partner get to know you and fully appreciate your journal. Perhaps send a mix CD of your favourite songs, a piece of jewelry that you sell in your etsy store, your guilty pleasure candy bar, the lip balm you can't live without...get creative! Everyone in the group is welcome to join. Please be aware when joining that you will be receiving a piece of someone else's life. They may have a different lifestyle than you and may express themselves using nudity, profanity, etc. If you are not comfortable with receiving something with potentially "adult" content, you might not want to join this swap. Any questions? Let me know! Photo credit: Ally_[Star] on Flickr |
