Hi Im joanne from california i love swapping fat mail i collect postcards and travel souvinors things that i can disply in a classroom from around the world. Im from california we have lots of souvinors from here email me. To exchange addresses.

TO ALL NEWBIES: Sorry, but I do require you to have a rating before you sign up for this swap... I have made this decision as too many of us have been flaked on in the past (myself included). I am sorry that there are people out there that have spoiled things for the rest of us... therefore I have had to make it a requirement that my swappers have a decent rating for all of the the swaps which I am coordinating... This saves my "butt" if you get my drift! I want everyone to receive something & have a fun swapping experience. I hope you understand... Many thanks, Sharlzie :-)

I hope I'll get some ratings before the signup deadline because this looks pretty fun to me! (:

Anke 07/ 4/2007 #

Yes; I signed up so that I don't forget the swap. If I find myself without rating or too short on money I'll drop out close to the signup deadline.

hiya this swap sounds fab, i cant wait to go shopping for gifts when partners are assigned. the limit is $10 im not sure but is that kinda like £5 in uk pounds, im not really sure of the exchange rate

yeah kaylarose, the current conversion rate I think is just under $2 per £1. I always leave it at that, but then I end up spending an equal amount in pounds anyway. Damn spending habits.

chompps 07/ 6/2007 #

i'm a newbie too. is it possible to join?

Ilovekawaii 07/ 6/2007 #

With new items, can it be lettersets and things like example 1 envelope and 2 sheets or does it need to be a whole new package?

Kessie 07/ 7/2007 #

I'm quite new at this and so far have only done ATCs and Bookmarks which are quite cheap to post... I just wondered, when sending things internationally, do they have to be sent airmail (which can be really expensive) or is it ok to send them by surface mail - in which case they might take a couple of months to arrive? It'd be nice to send things like a book or a mug or a box of candy but those would be quite heavy...

boxsquat 07/11/2007 #

i am from the U.S. but i am still going to do this swap because it sounds like more fun than the other random goodies swap. haha.

to kessie above me: i have sent medium/large gifts to singapore before and the postage has never been over 10 dollars. i know that might seem high but you have to consider that your partner is probably spending just as much on you, you know? :) i hope that helped

i am a newbie, can i join this swap?

Sharlzie 07/15/2007 #

Joanne, you will be notified soon of your swap partner. Swap-bot assignes all of the partners :)

Sharlzie 07/15/2007 #

$enorita - Please obtain a rating for signing up, thank you.

Sharlzie 07/15/2007 #

Kessie - air mail is prefered, however if you do wish to send nicer, heavier items surface mail is also fine as long as you advise your partner so they are aware. Just for an example though - a package from USA to Australia generally takes 3 months to arrive by sea.

Sharlzie 07/26/2007 #

sent mine off this week, across the globe to my partner in the USA

Rillaith 07/27/2007 #

Mine's gone - surface mail, I'm afraid, because it was quite heavy ... hopefully it'll have been worth the wait!

jannikinz 08/ 2/2007 #

Just mailed to Toilet Roll Art.. (how I love your user name).

chompps 08/ 6/2007 #

hi mailed my stuff to nina fosse!

surface mail was opted though! hope you get it soon!

nauheimer 08/10/2007 #

jannikinz 08/13/2007 #

Thankyou Glolinde, my lovely package arrived today.

Rillaith 08/20/2007 #

Mine's not here yet, but Trina has messaged me to let me know it's on its way, so hopefully will make it across the pond soon :) No sign of my package to Ferngoddess having arrived yet either - despite another surface mail package sent later arriving in a week! (That must have caught a flight!)
