Description:

This is the second of three swaps in which we will strive to make for ourselves the ultimate first aid kit! In this swap you will send your partner 6 Band Aid strips. They must NOT be plain! They must have some kind of picture on them. Examples of current Band Aids would be: Sponge Bob, Hello Kitty, Sanrio Import, Disney, Shrek, Batman etc... No more than "2" of the same design. Then add one other item that would go into a first aid package: some colorful tweezers, colored cotton balls, a travel size anti-bacterial wipes or gel. So that's 6 printed on Band Aids (no more than 2 of any one design) and ONE other item (examples given) of a "colorful" version of cotton balls, tweezers, tape, or another first aid item ...etc. Have any doubts about your idea for a first aid kit item, please ask here in comments or PM me.

Next month we will also decorate a small box to hold the first aid items for our partners. I will give more specific instruction on that swap for guidelines on the Kit itself, but you can choose from plastic, wood, metal...

Now to requirements: You must have a 4.8 to join with no recent partial/no sends. If you have a mark you can explain to me then we'll see. You must also have at least 10 mailed swaps. e-mail swaps do not count. Anything to the contrary and I reserve the right to ban you. I think this will be a lot of fun. It's important to put a smile on any boo boo life throws at you!

*** AS YOU CAN SEE FROM THE PIC I AM ALREADY WORKING ON MY FIRST AID KIT. IT IS THE ONLY SIDE I HAVE PAINTED (THOUGH 2 OTHER SIDES ARE DRAWN OUT). IT WILL ALSO BE SHALLACKED AFTER I AM THROUGH & LINED INSIDE. I am having a lot of fun, I laughed evilly when drawing it out. I hope whoever gets it will like it !!!

As you can see from the pic I am already started on the kit itself. When I first had the idea I was drawing and laughing evilly. My sister took one look and said I was "sick." They're in a sea of blood (interpret it how you will). Looks like Kitty needed to get there sooner! Not looking good for Badtz, Keroppi & Purin! The other large side is drawn out and I will paint it tomorrow evening. The wooden box was $3.09. If you don't already have paints cheap Arcrylic Craft paints are 58 cents a bottle at Michaels (all you need is black, white, red, yellow & blue - everything can be mixed from that). A can of shellack (I already owned brushes) and I think I will come in under $10 making my kit. I'll be more specific about the kit itself next month. You can do wood, but also use a cigar box, plastic or metal box, even that yarn and hard plastic stuff, just so long as it is large enough to be a real first aid kit (nothing tiny), can be shut tight and not fly open easily (the items need to be safe inside the kit), and you have taken some serious time and creativity making it. But that is NOT this month -- just giving you a sneak peek and something to think about. :)
