Yes, you do! I was going to message you and ask if you'd gotten mine. I gave it to my husband to mail and I never know until it gets to where it's going if he actually did.

this is interesting! must it be daily though? or is there like a minimum amount of words in an entry? i used to write lengthy journal entries, but on some days, when i can't get words to come out, i write a quote or something only.

What an intriguing swap! I have so many bits and pieces of journals -- and always feel better when I am writing. It will feel funny to write and send it off, but I am very interested in writing TO someone. Count me in!

well it is not necc. writing TO someone...you are ust writing about your everyday life...it is not like you address the journal Dear Such and Such...

Is the journal supposed to be filled up when I send it? Will I get the journal back with someone else's 30 days, or is this a 1 time thing? Sounds super fun!

hmmmm....i dunno....would you guys want to return it??? I was thinking of you write ay least 20-25 entries ( 1 month's worth) and then send it out...not recieve it back...but that may be a good idea... WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK????

Hello everyone! I do belong to a RR Journal now. The journal is fun...I believe this journal will be laughter, pensive,crying and more! I'll join if you will allow me to.

I don't think it would be fun to get it back... or to send the journal from your partner back. It would be like sending a unique book or something back...

Maybe you need to decide and then put it in with the swap what we're suposed to do with it keep it or send it back ? Would be usefull to know. ^-^

Oooooh, this is a GREAT swap. I hope I 'qualify' (sniffle. i'm trying to get my poor ratings back up. some folks who gave a 1 won't change 'em tho... even after resends... it's frustrating.)... because I am an AVID 'blogger' who keeps a dayplanner too, just to keep everything straight. I would love to have something to urge me to journal a small bit on a daily basis... I think for fun, I'll include my blog entries, and possibly printed out (on the computer, I assume) pictures when I take them too, since I carry my camera everywhere I go, and occasionally get really odd but cool pics. :) (ooooh, crossing fingers) This sounds like FUN!

Hmm, i was wondering, would it be more fun if our partners wrote us a letter after reading our journals? The letter could be to comment on the journal entries, or to give advice (if there were any problems the writer faced in his/her life) etc...?

Okay here is my question -- can I MAKE the journal?

I am asking bc I work in digital media and I would definitely do this if I could make it on my computer, then print it off and bind it. I also love scrapbooking and have made books many times. Handwriting probably wouldn't last with me more than a day or two....

I am loving this swap, I have spent all evening making my book I will be using for my journal. I do feel sorry for the poor person who will get it as I am sure it will be very boring but it will look pretty!

does the journal have to be a certain length (like page amounts)?

Are there any limits on what we can write about? Like if the journal were a movie would it have to be PG? PG-13?

I'm having so much fun journaling so far - I'm trying to glue in something (a clipping or picture or something) for each day, too.

Oh yeah, this is proving to be a challenge for me too! My handwriting is horrible (which is why I print out all my 'letters' to pen pals!) and I have to be careful to not ramble on and on, or else it begins to get unreadable. (the handwriting... I dunno about the entry! (laughs!))

So far, the only thing I'm embarassed about is the SILLY journal I am using... (laughs) I got it in a swap, and didn't know what I would use it for... it was perfect for this tho! ...at least, if you ignore the fact that it's a cutsy disney book with pink flowers on a blue cover with Tigger on it. (tee hee) Not quite the manly-man choice I might have made... but it's the perfect size- and hey. Why not. :)

if you feel you have horrible terrible very doctor like handwriting feel free to PRINT your journal entries out and tape or paste them in the journal...and rambling is GOOD!

i would actually like my partner to hand write my entries! but if you've printed them , etc, etc... it's ok!!! Looking forward to receive your journal!! :D

doesnt hurt to use it for this one. since i think all are girls in here. one might just really enjoy it..

I'm using a loose-leaf binder (A5 size..) for this one and adding 'interesting' pages (ie photocopies and backs of leaflets etc) I will decorate the binder too and add lots of stuff- hope this is ok, I wasn't sure how many pages I would be writing!!!!

On an unrelated note - omgawsh I'm actually JOURNALING every DAY... this is impressive for me. I'm one of those "journal for three days with huge entries... journal one day for like 2 sentences... then dissapear mysteriously for about a year and a half" journalers... hahaha. And anyway... my attempt at self-therapy was supposed to include journaling at least 15 minutes a day and I never did because I lack motivation (thus the therapy - OH THE VICIOUS CYCLE) and ... yeah. grr. So this is actually SUPER HELPFUL.

As of 7/7/07, have completed 30 Day Journal. Mine is a visual art journal using images, collage, song lyrics, poetry, etc for all 30 entires. I hope to get it to the Post Office to be weighed and mailed some time between now and next Saturday.

Mine will be close to the send by date- I've done about 20 entries but I'm not happy with the binder... might have to make some covers or something for it out of decorated cardboard and ribbon or something. I've used my journal as a complete venting ground and I apologise in advance for the bad language it contains!

I just have to say this has been a great project! Mine pretty much chronicles my descent into Swap-bot obsession. I'm trying to write some "sidebars" now so you won't get too bored with my "I signed up for this and hosted that and next I'm going to make the other thing" entries.

Received Julie's journal yesterday. I am speechless with amazement at the content. Diary entries, pictures, recipes, two music CD's. It is a masterpiece. Apologies to all - I am going AWOL for a bit. Last Sunday, July 22, I took a tumble on the front stairs of my apartment building, badly injuring my foot (not broken, thank God, but deep tissue damage - hurts like a B%^&*). I am currently a miserable piece of baggage, trying to learn to use crutches and doing very little else. I will be offline and trying to keep up with daily living. Some swaps will be late, I have dropped what I could. I expect my perfect "5" will wither but it can't be helped. Please don't be upset, current swap partners, my swaps will be a bit late out but WILL go out, esp one for little girl (items have been purchased and will be packaged an mailed by Emma and my Dad).
