I thought this would be a fun swap to do - have a look at this...

Please! Use the clickable link in the discussion section below - this link doesn't seem to be working for some unknown, mystical reason. http://www.livingcreatively.com.au/projects/createnowproject.php?v=160

Isn't that button brooch cute!? With Autumn looming I thought a nice pretty brooch would cheer up your winter woolies.

So, we will use the tutorial on the website above to create an 'I love buttons brooch' and we will send it to one partner. The brooch doesn't have to be red, you could look at your partner's profile to see which colours they like.

The Legalities

We will send one brooch to one partner, please include a card with your swap name.

This swap is international.

Newbies are welcome as long as you have 5 mailed and rated swaps under your belt, you must have a plumpsome profile too!

Your profile should give some indication of your favourite colours, if there is no mention of your favourite colours on your profile then you need to be ready for a suprise!

Extras are great but not at all necessary.

The swap is open to those with a rating of 4.8 and above.

If you don't intend to send then please don't join.

If you don't intend to send on time then please don't join.

If you don't intend to rate then please don't join.

My primary concern is the swapping experience of everyone in the swap, if I think you don't fit the bill then I won't allow you to join. If you think you have been rated unfairly then please tell me your tale and I will take it into consideration.

There is an error in the description link. Fingers crossed this one works now!

Thank you @SecretSheep I've just tried to fix it but it still won't work! Humph.

I would have loved to join in this one,but don't have 5 mailed swaps yet .oh well maybe another time.I did have a look at the template just to try for myself, but it appears only to show a bit of the pattern,or is it me.

SecretSheep 08/24/2009 #

@jinty it does look a bit odd...is it that you're meant to cut the paper pattern on the fold?

EllaStroupe 08/24/2009 #

Is there a certain number of buttons that we need to have on it?

Marymint 09/ 5/2009 #

I've just had a look at the pattern - presumably you fold the felt, cut around the template.

I don't think there's a specific number of buttons you should use but it would probably look better with more rather than less?
