Description:

For one of our anniversaries, I made my boyfriend a puzzle (the one in the picture - it said "You are my missing puzzle piece" and I kept one piece out of the puzzle and gave it to him at the end). I don't think many people think about doing this, but it's a fun idea.

You'll just have one partner and you have to send out by July 11th (my brother's birthday ^_^).

What you will do with this swap is buy a puzzle from the store - can be really cheap, doesn't matter what is on it (don't do the 3D puzzles, though, that kinda ruins the fun haha). Put it together, and then decorate it. Paint on it, glitter it, draw on it - be creative. Alter the puzzle so that it is YOURS. I would suggest pulling apart the pieces really fast and/or not layering on the paint so thik, as it's hard to pull the pieces apart with an inch of paint on it... haha. (experience speaking here!)

You will then pull apart all the pieces and put them back in the box and mail it to your partner. If, for some reason, it is cheaper to mail the puzzle in a ziplock instead of the box - that's fine. Just get the puzzle to your partner.

DON'T include a picture of the final product - that would make it too easy to put together. XP

Your partner will then piece together the puzzle you have created (so have mercy and don't make it like a 25,000 piece puzzle or anything) and take a picture of it to show the rest of us!!!!

If anything is not clear, feel free to comment and I'll try to answer any questions.

Fine print: This swap is international! No newbies on this swap - sorry guys! There are TONS of newbie-friendly swaps on here. Come back after you get a few fives. :) Since this is a swap that will take a LOT of time, I'm going to be really harsh with judging profiles. If there are one or more UNEXPLAINED no-sends, you can't be in the swap. IF you know that you have questionable ratings, please send me a message right when you sign up so that you can explain your situation. I'd hate to ban you for a mistake or an unfair rating just because I didn't understand. Communication is your friend.

So! That being said, please have fun and enjoy the swap!

OOOh this sounds right up my street. I'm in the UK though, is it international please?

Also, approx how many pieces should the puzzle be? I have some 20 piece blank jigsaws just ready to decorate.

The picture isn't there for us to see....sounds like fun but would love to see your completed one first.

I know - Swap-bot wouldn't let me upload a picture, I was really upset. :( I tried about 5 times and figured maybe the system was being weird and I'd try it in the morning (today!).

And I'm not very good with painting so don't use mine as like a guide to work with - heh...

Also - it doesn't matter how big the puzzle is, you can use your imagination! Also, you can glue things onto the puzzle or do whatever you want with it - as long as it can still be pieced together. ^_^

And it is international - did I forget to put that in there? Ahg, I always forget to put that in there....

what a lovely idea.... but yours is enormous! I don't think I'd do one that big, I've got to post it from England. I may have a couple of 50 piece ones somewhere that I could use, otherwise would my 20 piecers be OK?

Size doesn't matter, as long as it's creative and from your heart. Make it beautiful and wonderful and you're good. :)

Oh gosh, I feel sorry for whoever my partner is... I bought the cheapest puzzle they had. The big puzzles for little kids with a small amount of pieces were all like $4... but this one was 88 cents. I, for some reason, did not check out the box very well - just picked one that I thougt was cool looking (took it home and realized 90% of it was either PURPLE or RANDOM FOREST... ugh!)... it has 500 teeny pieces. XD!! Me and my boyfriend spent hours trying to put it together - my mom even started pitching in... but it's not halfway finished and it's still sitting there on my table downstairs.

LOL!!! why don't you see if you can get a smaller one? thank goodness I'm not your partner - it would take me ages to figure out!!!
