Description: | |
To join in the fun, you'll create mail art by decorating the outside of an envelope for your partner. Inside, send a greeting and short description of the tools and techniques used to create the envelope design. The theme is Asia, and your design can represent the art or culture of one or more Asian countries. You can draw, paint or rubber stamp the outside of the envelope. (See additional notes below.) Add stickers, too, if you like. Keep in mind that any dimensional embellishments will just get torn off, so whatever you add to your design should be flat, and your final project should be smooth. The size of the envelope, the color, and whether it's a hand-made or mass-produced envelope will be up to you, but you may have to pay extra postage if your envelope isn't a standard size or shape. (Check with your post office for specifics.) Please put good thought and effort into your envelope, and send a nice quality project to your partner, something you would like to receive. This is an artsy project, not quick and crafty, so expect to take some time with it. You must have a rating of 4.8 or better, with no recent no-sends. Newbies with ATC or other art experience, please PM me if you'd like to participate. I will angel this swap, but please don't sign up if you don't have time to make a nice envelope for you partner! This is international, so you may be sending to a partner outside of your country. However, if your envelope is standard, it shouldn't cost you more than the usual international postage amount. (That's 98 cents in the US.) |
