What is a Friendship Book (FB)? "A booklet that is passed via the mail from person to person. It includes addresses of all the signers and is intended for the recipient to find new penpals and/or swap partners. It is generally made of a few pages of paper (any size, but usually made to fit in a standard size envelope) stapled together. The cover or front page includes who made the booklet (complete with name and address) and who the booklet was made for (complete with name and address). The rest of the booklet is reserved for the Γ’β¬Εsigners.Γ’β¬Β The person who signs the last available space then sends the booklet back home to the person the booklet was made for." Personally I'm going to make a nice little notebook which should be quite light to ship internationally. When you have signed the book you receive, please rate the partner who sent it to you and then it's up to you how its journey continues. Include it in another swap if you like, or just send it to someone you've encountered previously, on Swap-Bot or elsewhere. If you ever receive one where your address or comment completes the book, please return it to the person for whom it was made, whose address should be at the front. Got it? I've never done one before either! Experienced FBers are welcome too. Your only requirements are a profile with plenty of info about yourself, and ratings, if any, only good ones! NB I edited the swap to clarify that you will make the FB FOR the partner you send to, so the FB's FINAL journey should be back to that person. |
