Description:

Ephemera is: transitory written and printed matter not intended to be retained or preserved. Some ephemera examples are advertising trade cards, bookmarks, catalogs, greeting cards, letters, pamphlets, postcards, posters, prospectuses, stock certificates, tickets, photos, pages from old childrens books, pieces of wrapping paper, match packs, individual sewing packs, candy wrappers, and zines. Usually Paper they are things that have been used, nothing new here, usually vintage is expected and something that was meant to be used once and tossed away.

For this swap you will have 2 partners that you will send a regular size letter envelope of Ephemera too. No need to look at profiles for this you can start collecting now and have it ready for when you get partners. You can find this in second hand stores, in old magazines, used book stores, in antique shops, anywhere you will find old or used paper items.

Open to Newbies with full profiles and at least 1 regular swap, and anyone with no 1's or 3's in the last month without a valid reason. I have a right to ban if I think someone may not send.

You have lots of time to find lots of items for this swap, happy hunting :)

is there a minimum number of pieces of ephemera that should be included, or a minimum age of ephemera included?

I would like to know too! Watching for now! I am organizing a swap around old children's book pages... http://www.swap-bot.com/swap/show/45360

But this is much broader, how fun!

No real number of pieces since they could be any size but on average about 10. No age limit but try and mix older with new should not be any problem finding older pieces at used book stores and thrift shops most people prefer older so I would have the majority older with a few new ones to top up the envelope.

What size envelopes are you using?

freckleface 10/ 8/2009 #

Just a regular letter envelope. Standard size but its flexible if you want to use greeting card envie that's fine too just not a small kawaii envie please.
