Excuse me, but isn't an ATC 3 1/2 by 2 1/2? I want to make it the right size so I wait to hear your response on this.

3.5x3.5 is the standard size for Zentangles as stated on the Zentangle.com page. I thought for the sake of doing something different we could use their dimensions for this one.

The reason they recommend using the square is so you can easily turn the page as you draw for a more fluid flow and ease of drawing. Also its supposed to take 30 to 60 minutes to draw a Zentangle mimicking the standard basic time for a simple meditation. I have tried various sized Zentangles and the 3.5x3.5 inch size is best for what the Zentangle.com people had in mind. The standard 2.5x3.5 of ATC format means simpler designs because its smaller and its less Zen because Im to aware of the size and design elements that may or may not work in a rectangle. However the sleeve pages for ATCs are common and cheep and I have them making it easy to store and display my zentamgles. The 5 x5 inch square are just to big and take to long. I will do a 5x7 because its a quad ATC and when cut makes 4 ATCs its a design challenge and an interesting exercise. So we are back to yes 3.5 x3.5 inches is correct for this swap. I would like input on sizes etc.. from everyone. I started a thread on the subject in Group Forums for it . I will post swaps for ATC sized, the 3.5 square and 5x7 quad sizes for varieties sake and see how people like them. If I get feed back that suggests I do something different I will. hugs, Tess
