If you love zentangles and crafts, let's make a Zentangle Puffy. It's a small mini-pillow that you can use as a pincushion, ornament, sachet, etc. To make one: Use a smooth cotton fabric in a solid color. Place it in an embroidery hoop, and make it tight. Trace the dimensions of an Artist Trading Card onto the fabric. Then, use a Sharpie very fine point marker in any color you wish to begin drawing your zentangle on the fabric. Practice on a scrap or two first, to get the hang of seeing how the fabric and pen interact (will the fabric make the pen ink bleed?) I experimented with several types, and had no problem, but keep in mind you don't want to let your pen 'sit' in one spot for too long, otherwise the ink will make a blot (but if that happens, don't worry, just make a new design element out of the blot!) |
