Number of swap partners:3

For this swap you will send 1 weathered/naked postcard of your choice to each of your 3 partners.

These can be store bought, homemade or free/ad postcards.

Don't forget to write a quick "Hi, how are you?" to your partner and be sure to include the Swap name and your Swap-bot user name so they can rate you.

Swap is USA only and is open to Newbies with a filled out profile and anyone with a 4.5 or higher rating.

I will also be checking profiles before partners are assigned to make sure you don't have any recent 1's or no-sends. I don't need any FLAKERS to chase after.

In the event that a FLAKER does get by me, I will happily Angel this swap.

Any questions or suggestions, please message me.

it would be hard for some people to send the same day the partners are issued as Mailmen have passed already. maybe put the deadline for the 20th then people will join.

I'm a newbie and I want to make sure I understand. It says weathered/naked. Which I thought meant blank or no writing. But, then I read write a quick hello. So, I'm a little confused.

Welcome to swap-bot j3ss1ca!

'naked' typically refers to sending the postcard (or anything ELSE i'm learning!) by itself, no envelope or packaging.

they usually specify 'send 2 for your partner in an envelope, so they can use it' or similar if they will be like just-bought.

have fun swapping,

p.s. i'm still pretty new here too! pam

Thanks for the info.

Thanks to everyone who has joined and those who are watching. I hope you all join too! @LadyRose - I did change the send by date. Thanks for pointing that out. @j3ss1ca - pioniwol is correct (thanks Pam for explaining it) In the postcard world "naked/weathered" means that you slap a stamp on it and send it through the mail as if you were sending it to a friend. Some people like to write something about the scene of the postcard, some about the kind of day they are having while others may only write Hello. It is entirely up to you what you write as long as it is not offensive. Any other questions or concerns, please ask. As you have found out, there are tons of nice people here to swap with! Happy Swapping~~Jen

Hi! I'm new, but I would like to join this swap if possible. Thanks!

Hi! I'm new to swap-bot and starting small and simple. I've always loved postcards and used to collect them compulsively. Now I don't have so many but still can't help but pick up a few when I travel to new places. I'd love to swap some instead of them sitting in a drawer! Already have 3 picked out for this swap. Thanks for hosting a swap that welcomes newbies :-)

Hi farrahs81 and janefan Thanks for joining my swap. Newbies are always welcomed at my swaps. We all have to start somewhere. :)

When do we get our partners?

kssunlover1947 10/19/2009 #

Since partners were never assigned I am dropping from this swap. Sorry I was looking forward to it as I like receiving and sending postcards.

Jenann82 10/20/2009 #

Sorry for not assigning partners yesterday. I had a death in my family. Partners are assigned now. I did extend the send by date by 2 days. Happy Swapping. Thanks for joining the swap. Jen

j3ss1ca 10/21/2009 #

I sent mine out today.

ChrissyB 10/23/2009 #

Sorry to hear about the death in your family. That's always difficult. I'll keep you in my prayers.

Thanks to all for the kinds words of sympathy. I do appreciate it. I am back home and I need to get back to the swing of things. So... Has everyone sent out the postcards to your partners? Has anyone discovered any problems I need to address? Please send me a message and let me know. Thanks for joining the swap!
