Description: | |
This swap is for all you beginner quilt makers who want to get their feet wet. The first block is going to be very easy. A 9 patch. http://www.quilterscache.com/N/NinePatchBlock.html You will make one nine patch block and have one partner. It is senders choice for the colors. Make sure you use two contrasting colors. Like dark blue and white or light pink and dark red. Please no NOVELTY fabrics. Novelties are Easter prints, kid prints, food prints, animal prints, etc. You can use floral prints and geometric prints. Just nothing that reads children blocks. Please try your very best to use a scant 1/4 inch seam allowance when constructing your blocks. The finished block should measure 12 1/2 inches when it is complete. To make it easier for newbies, after you cut out your squares use a disappearing ink marker to draw your seam allowance. Then sew just next to the line, not on top of it. This will make it easier to learn the scant seam allowance. Please pm me with any questions. You can also measure from your needle over 1/4 of an inch and use masking tape as a guide. Newbies are welcome. Please fill out your profile. Everyone has to start some where. Experienced swapper with a 4.6 or higher may join to. I will be checking profiles. Please no recent no sends. |
