Description:

U.S. Only! Sorry!

This is a swap for expecting mothers or mothers of babies. My 3-year-old has received a few things from swaps, but my poor little baby gets nothing. So...here's to the babies!

You will each post your baby's gender, age and size (possibly a size larger than they currently wear). If you do not post or contact your partner, DO NOT complain about what you receive! Your baby must not be any older than 18 months--after that they're not so "babyish" anymore. Ha! If you're expecting and do not know the gender, please list this info so you can receive neutral colors.

Once you find out your partner and have read their baby's info, you will send 1 of each item below:

1.) A pack of onesies OR an outfit.

2.) An age appropriate toy. (Just a small one, as this is not intended to be an expensive swap.)

3.) A "care" item--powder, soap, lotion, a couple diapers, wipes, comb, etc.

4.) OPTIONAL You may also include something used, but nice! This is not required, but as we all know, baby things aren't used long enough to wear out most of the time.

So, you will be sending at least 3 items, more if you choose.

Please remember that this is not intended to be expensive. Babies don't care how much something costs--they just love attention and to feel special. There are a lot of nice, new, cheap baby things out there.

No one with less than a 4.5, NO no sends, etc. If you're new, please contact me. I'll be checking around, so if you're a scammer, don't even bother signing up!

Please have fun and send special baby stuff! They're only babies once!

My little boy is 12 months old. He's got chunky little legs, so onesies don't really fit him anymore. (Sob.) I've been putting him in 24 month outfits already! Big guy! They grow sooo fast!

awww such a sweet swap

First off this package will NOT be coming to MY address. It will be coming to my sister's so please ask me when it comes time for her address

ABout the baby:

Her name is Calie but we nicknamed her Peanut! She was born April 4th,2007. She wears a size 2 diaper I believe! She wears size 3-6 month clothing. She weighs about 12 lbs if that helps any in size!

So this is a swap for under 1 year olds right??? ya might want to add that in the description :D

ElizabethObviously 06/20/2007 #

ohhh to add something...she has ALOT of hair!

harleygirl 06/20/2007 #

Yes, the description says the baby can't be older than 18 months. Calie sounds like a cutie!

ElizabethObviously 06/20/2007 #

well maybe if i read better...duh

Awwww! I dont need anything for my 11 month old but have lots to give! Maybe someone wants to exchange some baby items with me for something I could use? A personal swap maybe?

Can a Grammy play in this swap? I have a granddaughter on the way.

Kristi

Sure, I'll let a grandma in on the fun! Just post your grandbaby's info!

My little guy isn't born yet...he's due in October. Any size will be fine for us, since eventually he'll grow into everything.

Kristipye 06/20/2007 #

She's a girl due mid-October. Her sister weighed 8lbs when she was born---so I would expect that she would be right around that weight. Thanks for letting me join!

My little Lizzie Mae will be 1 yr old in a few days (6/25)

She has lots of light red hair and curls, she weighs about 19 lbs. and is wearing sizes 12-18 mos (lots of pink, lt green and red!!). She is tall and thin, so summer things we go with 12 months, fall things will be 18 mo for length.

She loves books, blocks and musical things.

I think I covered everything, just ask if you need more info.

Harleygirl, I think I messaged you but not sure if it went through, because my browser froze up! Anyway, I'm a newbie and am currently participating in 4 other swaps. But I don't have any ratings yet! I hope I can participate in this swap because it looks like so much fun.

jessmarie 06/22/2007 #

Thanks for letting me join Harleygirl. I hope no one is bothered by the fact that I'm a "newbie." I am in some other swaps currently so hopefully I will have some ratings soon.

Anyhow, I am expecting a baby next January. I already have lots of girly outfits and onesies, so it would be great to have some that are more neutral-gendered in case I have a boy.

I'm really excited for this swap and whomever I get as my partner will not be disappointed!

Hello! My daughter is a little over 12 months, and still wears 6/9 month clothing. But she really doesn't need any more summers clothes. Something for maybe 18 months for the winter or 24 months for next summer would be great!!!

As far as toys, she loves anything that makes noise!!!

:-D

caracois 06/26/2007 #

If only it were international.... :-(

user8373 06/26/2007 #

My Jake is 14 months old and is wearing 12-18 mo sizes right now. For fall/winter, 18-24 mos would probably be better.

As far as toys go, he likes just about everything (especially noisy things), though he has a lot of toy phones already. He LOVES mylar balloons, though I guess those don't mail too well :)

Thanks in advance!

nanvan 06/28/2007 #

My baby girl is just turning 8 months old - she wears 9 to 12 month for sizes, not to be picky or anything, because I know this defeats the purpose of a good swap, but... you aren't going to believe this, but... I don't dress her in pink at all!! (I know, I'm weird!) :)

She loves things that make noise like a rattle or a moracca even! Can't wait to start a swappin' !

user8373 06/28/2007 #

Just wanted to add that Jake is obsessed with dogs right now (or "doooogs" as he says!)

user8908 07/ 5/2007 #

I just read that nanvan doesn't dress her daughter up in pink! gasp

lol jk

Before I had Emma, i SWORE i would never dress emma up in pink, but that is all she wears now. lol

nanvan 07/ 8/2007 #

I know, I get a LOT of slack from friends and family about the no-pink thing Mom2EmmaLanea - I am sure once my little one is old enough to decide what to wear, my no-pink rule will be just a happy memory... ! :) (She does look awful darn cute in it of course, but ... !)

user8908 07/ 9/2007 #

Harleygirl, Your package went out in the mail today! Hope you like everything I sent! :-D

Nanvan - haha! I bet she looks cute in every color though. Most little girls can wear just about anything, and they look precious in it! :-D

harleygirl 07/10/2007 #

Thanks, can't wait! I never had anything pink for my kids--they're both boys! Hee! That's okay, I wear enough pink to make up for it! There are a lot of pink Harley shirts, you know!

jessmarie 07/10/2007 #

Nanvan, I sent your package today. :)
