Description:

I love embellishments, charms, beads, silk ribbon, etc. And can't get enough variety. So this swap will be international and you will swap with 3 partners. Send a small baggie of various embellishments and charms to be used in crafting/scrapbooking, etc. Embellishments can be store bought or handmade. Send items that you would like to receive if you didn't already have so many of the same thing.

Be selective in your choices and try to rate a heart from your swap participant partners.

Have fun!

Is there a guideline for how big a small baggie is? On one site we swap ATC sized baggies of craft supplies but 5"x4" is still quite small. It takes lot of embellishments to fill 3 5"x4" bags so I'm not sure I'd have enough spares, but I do need more variety.

I'm curious about the size of the baggie too. There are anywhere from 1 x 1, to pretty large baggies. Please measure the size you want us to swap and post it on here. Thanks a lot. Then I know if I want to join in

Once I see some clarification on the baggie size I will know if I'm on for this one. I'd vote for an ATC size bag for 3 partners, if there's room for opinions. If it's a sandwich size bag, I'll have to consider what to do...

I say a sandwich bag, though it doesn't have to be full of tiny charms, beads, buttons - you can put ribbons and lace and larger items in it too so you won't have to empty out all of your craft embellishments for this swap.. LOL.. You could check your partner's profiles and see what they like and maybe send sticker sheets or clip art or things of that nature as well. Hope this helps..

hmm .. 4"x5" I could probably do, bigger probably not. I'm too new to this to have a huge stash of spare items.

With postage so expensive, I can understand some of the concern, but I am slowing way down on my swaps for awhile, so the few that I do I will make sure they are beneficial for all the partners involved.

Maybe we could take this down to two partners? It's be easier for me to fulfill 2 small sandwhich baggies full than 3.

Sorry - I've got to drop this one...too many irons in the fire right now...

I hate to see so many leave, but we still have 10 partners involved and so we will leave it as is. I changed the sign up date to July 25th because I will be OOT the 23 and wouldn't have been able to assign partners.
The send date will stay the same..

we have 15 signed up as of now and I should be able to set up the partners tomorrow. EXCITED!!!

My Swap-bot daughter and I both signed up for this swap, and low and behold we got 2 of the same partners. So tonight another one of my daughters and I filled up sandsich bags with an assortment of items. Since we had 2 the same we used ribbons and lace along with the buttons, beads and other embellishments. I hope this will be satisfactory to our partners. Of course the computer that auto assigned us had no way of knowing that we both would be sending from the same stash supply. I think in the future we will refrain from signing up for the same swaps. This will avoid any confusion. (A reminder to those who may not know or might have forgotten - Melissa Sharon is my 19 year old daughter who has joined swap-bot and now is away from home while attending to my 92 year old grandmother. I set up her swap-bot in such a way that I can send to her partners from my home, but she will receive the items from others there at Grandma's so that she can continue with her creativity. When she makes items specifically for any given swap, I then have her email that item from where she is. But she doesn't have a surplus of charms, beads, ribbons, lace, papers, stickers, buttons and the like, and so that is why I am sending them for her. Thank you for understanding..) Star Of Song

I received one package from 2 people as they both received my name and knew each other. Here is a link to what I received and what I sent my partners on my flickr account.

I look forward to your feedback if you have any as I am new to swapping.
