Description:

Do you love to feel a new ball of lovely yarn? Is petting a ball of gorgeous textile your idea of heaven? Would you like to get a ball of yarn from somewhere far away? Do you like the idea of using a single ball of yarn to create a small, simple item, thereby avoiding the committment of buying a ton of yarn or spending months creating a large garment?

This is a simple swap for a single ball or skein of yarn (50g or larger), based on your receiver's profile. Please purchase a new ball, or send one from your stash that is whole and still has the label. Because this is an international swap, try to send a ball that is local, or at least, from your country of origin. When checking out your partner's profile, make sure to note any allergies, etc.

I've made this swap sign up and send deadline long after Christmas, so you have plenty of time to sign up and finish up with the Christmas rush.

Boring, But Necessary, Rules: 1. You must have a rating of 4.8 or higher and NO no-sends. If you believe that you have any unearned 1s, please contact me IN ADVANCE OF JOINGING SWAP and I may make an exception. 2. You must have completed no less than 15 mail swaps. 3. You must have a complete profile; make sure that your partner will be able to find the 'perfect' ball of yarn for you. And if you have any allergies or aversions, make sure to note it in your profile. 4. I will ban any swappers who do not fulfill these rules, or who are on the flakers list on my profile. If you feel that you are on this list in error or have been banned in error, please PM me and we will work something out.

If there are any suggestions for changes or additions or deletions you'd like to see to this swap...let me know. I want to create a swap that we all will love!

You don't think swappers in the USA like to get new yarn too? Boo Hoo

Not at all. I realize that everyone loves yarn (everyone with a brain, that it!), that's why I made it an International swap. JOIN JOIN JOIN!

Anyone ever been going through their yarn stash and find a skein, brand new, that you don't remember buying. A skein you wouldn't buy because you like a different type of yarn. I just did today - this really is bothering me. I don't know where I got this skein.

@jerilynfoley yes! it's so weird! I have a roommate who knits, but he swears it isn't his. I hope my yarn is having babies :D

Does that mean if you have rabbit angora, it would multipy at a faster rate than regular reproducing yarn?

I will join when the time nears. I have wool allergies...but everything else is fair game.

I have made an exception for @KawaiiNekomini she has a 4.6 rating, with 3s and 1s, but the rating members have not made any effort to update her rating. I have created and finished 2 private swaps with her, in order to help her rating and to prove that she is reliable in her swap committments. If her partner has any problem whatsoever, I will angel without hesitation. Any concerns, please PM me.

I do think yarn multiplies!!! I will think mines gone, go buy more, and then find another container that is full of yarn !! but I love it!!

I am so excited about this swap!!! I think yarn multiplies too!! I started out with one eighteen gallon rubbermaid container.. and out of nowhere, I have TWO completely full ones!!! ::yikes:: I have been knitting like crazy lately... (everyone on my christmas list received something made by me) and I still have an overload of yarn!!! I'm obsessed!!! almost everything in my stash is NATURAL fibers... I LOVE it!!!
