Description:

Fourth year for this swap!

This is an INTERNATIONAL SWAP. Over the coming few weeks you may collect a lot of beautiful wrapping paper, ribbon and cards. Some of these would be wonderful for making ATCs, collage, altered books, etc.

I always end up with more pretties than I can possibly use...and the sad thing is that when I part with some of that stash, I still would love to have more!

--This year you'll send ONE package to ONE partner. Please put a good effort into putting together a super nice package.

--You must send at least 24 sheets paper, at least 4x4 inches each. A couple duplicate pieces are ok, but aim for a good variety.

--The paper you send can be wrapping paper, tissue paper or others that you have collected and want to share. Definition of paper for this swap is that it is light and flexible enough to be folded around a package. That could include old book pages or newspaper if they would make interesting package wraps.

--A few wrinkles or creases might be OK if they give the page a weathered or vintage feel.

--If you include solid colored paper, please make sure there is something interesting about it. Solid color paper should be special: texture, embossed patterns, sparkle, metallic finish, glossy accents, etc. Vellum would fall into this category - it's often solid color but adds a special touch to art projects.

--Ribbon, lace, raffia and other package embellishments would also be welcome in this trade. Anything you think someone could incorporate effectively into an art project. If you include ribbon, it should be sturdy and flexible enough to tie into a bow. I've received paper ribbon that tore and fell apart. Yarn and other package trim is OK if it is in good condition. Ribbon & trim should be at least 10 inches long.

--Images from cards or publications that you think your partner might like to use. Images should be in good condition, with photos or illustrations that would be useful for collage, ATCs or inspiration. Cards can be less than 4x4 inch size, but must be in addition to 24 paper sheets. In other words, cards can not replace the 24 sheets of 4x4 wrapping paper. Definition of a card for this swap is that it is heavier in paper weight and would be difficult to fold as wrapping material to cover a package.

--Don't hesitate to include non-holiday wrapping items if you want to share your stash.

Please send things you'd be happy to receive. Don't send trash...it will cost you money, and your partner will feel cheated.

REMEMBER: 24 sheets of pretty paper, at least 4x4 is the minimum!

Swap sign-up ends December 31st.

Send your items by January 9th.

***INTERNATIONAL, must have no recent "1"s (or an explanation sent to me in advance acceptably telling your side of the story.) Newbies are welcome.

I'll watch until x-mas so I can make sure I get enough different papers :)

karinus, here's a site that has a chart of inches to cm; http://www.asknumbers.com/InchesToCentimetersConversion.aspx

Good question: 1 inches = 2.54 centimeters
