Mixed Paper Bag Album Swap

Sounds like fun! I do have one question though...What is the finished dimensions of the booklet we'd be creating? I have grocery size brown bags, lunch bag size and gift shop size bags coming to mind. And the whole thing is based on our partner's choice of theme correct? Thanks, Dreamweaver

@dreamweaver if I am not mistaken (as I have made these before) it should be the lunch sized brown bags.

May I cut down larger grocery size bags to correct proportions? I really love this idea but I don't like to buy paper products, I have a giant box of paper recycling for that :) And are they just folded in half?

I'm really interested in this swap, but I have one concern. If the book is to be made specifically for our partner and partners are assigned After Dec 31st, that means that we only have about one week to create and mail it. I think I would need longer than a week to make something truly special.

MichelleZ - I thought the bags could be your partner's choice (i.e., if they want a birthday bag, holiday bag, summer vacation bag and so on). Are you good with the short turn-around? What I have done was put mine together, placed my backgrounds on each page, and made the pockets with the tags. All that is needed is to get a theme from my partner.

Yes you should get about nine pages (front and back) with three bags. Now, I don't typically decorate my back page. Please specifiy if any of you would like that. Hope you all have fun!

My Favorite Theme would be a choice of, Victorian/Shabby, distressed look, Pink (but not cutsie like Hello Kitty). Dog or Cat Theme, Kitchen/Recipe, Coffee, Heritage/antique, Tea. It's up to my partner if they wish to decorate the back cover.

I'm in U,K, Anyone know where I can get these bags from? Even if they have to be shipped to me international that's O.K. so long as I can use paypal. I bought one of these albums of etsy for my cousin's 60th Birthday and I think it's really cool and would love to have a go at making them.

Hello and welcome aboard! These bags are a lunch size brown paper bag. Sometimes at your local market or liquor store you can get them. I have seen two sizes and they measure approximately 12 1/2 x 6 inches or 11 x 6 inches. There is no wrong size as long as it is close.
