Description:

If you're like me and scan things like handwriting, fabric swatches, and clip art from the books you can get at the library in hopes of using it in a project, then this swap is for you.

You'll have two partners. Create for them a disc of clip art from your collection. The discs don't have to be full, but it would be nice. In the spirit of fair trading, there must be a minimum of 100 pieces of clip art on your disc. They can be any size, black and white or color. They can be of any subject, but please keep the nudity to a minimum as to not offend anyone who might be otherwise delicate about such things. Also, making sure things are properly labeled would be nice, but not required.

Once the project breaks, you'll have a week to get your discs out.

One final note: I reserve the right to drop anyone from the swap who has poor feedback.

I LOVE this idea. I have a pile of homemaker magazines from the 50s and 60s I've been meaning to scan in, as well as books I've bought second hand with good clip art and fonts in, I'm just not sure I'd be able to scan them all in by the deadline. Is there anyway you could extend the dates? At least the sign up one? I don't want to sign up and not be able to complete on time. If the swap didn't close for a couple of weeks I could get started on my scanning and I'd know whether I was going to have enough done by the deadline.

Would it matter if we sent copyrighted material or not? Obviously we should avoid copyrighted material such as disney characters, but isn't the clip art (or any photograph) found in books already copyrighted?? I dont want to send somthing that the other person would be afraid to use in their art. Thanks.

Most clip art is copyrighted. As are magazine images from the 50's and 60's.
