Description:

It's about that time of year where hearts and cupids adorn the store shelves and overpriced chocolates are purchased at the last minute and even convenient stores can't keep "fresh" flowers in stock!

For this swap you need to be medicated (or at least know someone who is)! Or else you won't have anything to stuff full of heart themed goodies for your partner. Even if you aren't 'officially' medicated a nice sized Tylenol bottle or some other over the counter medicine bottle comparable to a prescription sized bottle will work.

Simply find one of your EMPTY pill bottles and fill it full of heart themed surprises for your partner (make sure to wash it out first). Also, be creative and alter the outside of the bottle to fit the hearts theme. Use any medium you would like. Just make sure to send a quality piece of work. Don't just slap a sticker on it and call it done. Embellish, paint, collage...just so long as it would look neat sitting at someone's crafting station.

Ideas of what to include:
* Charms
* Ribbon
* Cabochons
* Bracelet
* Small pair of earrings
* Beads
* Embellishments such as brads, rhinestones, etc.

Every single thing doesn't have to be a heart, but think along the lines of romance. Be creative, though. Not every heart has to be red or pink or full of lace.

Sizes vary at different pharmacies, but try to stay away from smaller sample sized bottles. If that is all that is available, send at least 3 to compensate for the size difference.

I think we will all be surprised at how many great goodies we can fit in these tiny treasure boxes!

Guidelines

  • No recent low ratings or no sends
  • Regional - USA/Canada
  • Newbies welcomed with a well filled out profile and you must send me a PM first before joining the swap...failure to do so will get you banned from the swap
  • Quality work only: Send only what you would be happy to receive
  • If anyone sends late without communication to their partner as well as the host they will be removed from the group
  • Failure to rate your partner in a timely manner after receiving the swap will also result in removal from the group

Any questions? Just ask!

Disclaimer: I recognize that the guidelines for the swaps I host have gotten strict, but it is in the interest of all the participants because we all deserve to receive quality work and to have our quality work rated in a timely manner. If anyone sees the guidelines as too strict and unfair, then the swaps I host probably aren't for you.

As Always:

Happy Creating!

Just a thought, you can also visit your local pharmacy and ask for a clean empty RX bottle...most of the time they have no problem giving you one. I just went today and the mgr at the local WalGreens was so funny and more than happy to accommodate, he actually gave me many choices to choose from....i picked the big one :)

I had a blast with the last one, thanks grimm. btw, love the disclaimer. Plus, I am heavily medicated so I have plenty of bottles to choose from. lol

I think this is a lovely idea for a swap, but I've got so many going on right now I don't think I'd be able to devote the time to it I'd prefer!

Everyone who is missing out this round, don't worry! I will definitely be hosting another one closer to St. Patrick's Day (think green and lucky). :^) The disclaimer wasn't meant to scare anyone off; with the holiday flakes and craziness that went on, I just couldn't take it anymore...LOL! I put my 'mean' foot forward in an effort to be a good host. :^D

I'm so glad you're doing another one soon. I have to much going on to join this one, but I'm excited about the next one. :)

I had a prescription and it came in a pretty purple bottle, and I put it up somewhere because I knew it would come in handy someday...and I can't find it! I put stuff up for "safekeeping" and it gets lost for 2-3 years! I make it real safe, lol! I need to have one spot for all my "alterables".

I'm glad you mentioned the St.Patricks Day one, I have a pretty green one, too,and I DO know where that one's at, lol! I'm going to go ahead on work on that one, since its sitting here looking at me, lol!

I know all about "safekeeping" because that is how I lose lots of my things. LOL! The St. Patrick's Day swap should be up later on in the week. I am so happy to have lots of good participants in these swaps!
