Description:

If you are like me, you love to make button fairies. They are fun, quick, and adorable! If you are new to the craft, beware, you will become addicted!

This swap is for a Valentine's Day button fairy. You will use any color(s) that go along with the holiday; pink, white, red and so on. Please make it sturdy, so it makes it safe to your partner. Also make sure it has enough buttons on the tail. The body/face can be normal color, does not have to be a Valentine's Day color. You may use embellishments. Please make this a good quality item, something you would love to receive yourself. Make sure that there is a hanger on the fairy so it can be hung up.

There are many photos on Flickr on button fairies and there is also a fantastic tutorial on how to make them here:

You will be sending one button fairy to one partner. I am going to make this international since these are fairly light to ship and won't cost much. In that case, I want to get these sent out in time to make it to your partner. With the craziness of the holiday, mail might be slow for some time to come, so I would like to give these enough time to make it overseas. I will give a week to do these and around a month for mail time to make it to your partner. If someone would like the dates changed for any reason, please let me know. This is my first time hosting a public swap so I welcome all ideas and thoughts.

I am asking that you must have at least a 4.8. No 1s or 3s within the past few months and any you have must be explained. I understand crap happens but that doesn't mean you shouldn't fix them. I will check out profiles and ban if necessary. If you are a newbie and are very interested in this swap or someone who is afraid to jump right into a button fairy swap, please PM and I could possibly set up a private swap.

Have Fun!

I would like to remind participants that postal machines will break button and beads unless they are protected with bubble wrap or a very heavy cardboard. I know we all need to keep the postage costs down, but it is disappointing to receive a broken fairy.

Yes, good thought. I usually just put mine in a bubble envelope. I would assume that would be enough. I haven't experienced this yet, and hopefully never. Thanks for putting that on here as a reminder.
