Description:

This swap is for beginning journalers who have wanted to sign up for journal swaps, but were hesitant, as they had never tried it before, AND for experienced journalers who don't mind receiving from a newbie. It is not for picky journal swappers who have guidelines on what kinds of journals they would like to receive- remember, you might send a journal full of your sketches and paintings and receive one full of writing about someones day to day living.

For this journal you will need a journal that is at least 5"x7", with at least 30 pages in it (that's only 15 sheets of paper). You will fill both side of all pages (so if you decide to do fronts only, just make sure you still have 30 completed pages). You can use any type of journal you wish- you may even decide to try your hand at making one yourself- as long as it as least 5"x7".

You will have a little over a month and a half to put together something neat... so don't wait until the last minute. Make an effort to make something nice that your partner will appreciate. The theme is completely open- you can write, create art (paint, draw, etc), collage, make lists, include quotes, lyrics, whatever you want! As long as you end up with 30 completed entries (1 entry= 1 full page). I ask that you not slap a few stickers on a page and call it an entry. Make something NICE! The most appealing journal for a swap of this kind will probably be something with a combination of those things.

The journal is senders choice in all aspects, so you don't need to check your partners profile. This also means you can start NOW if you want.

This is international so keep in mind shipping could be high if you end up with an international partner!

You must have no recent 1's or 3's. Please send ON TIME and rate in a timely manner. Also, please rate fairly- based on whether the swap requirements were met, not whether you liked what you received. And please rate in a timely manner... Someone who has spent the time to create an entire journal for you surely does not want to wait weeks and weeks after sending it to see if you received it :) Thank you sooo much :) Please do not sign up if you can't follow through.

If anyone has any questions, please PM me or post them below.

Oh, it's too bad that it overlaps so much with the other Beginner's Journal swap for this group. Otherwise I would have liked to participate in both.

I have been doing my own personal journialing for years. This sounds like it may be interesting to do.I would love to read about someone elses life. Or to see some of their art. I am just learning to draw myself. So please count me in.

Got my journal ready for this, but it has 100 pages. Can we do more than 30 pages so it doesnt look too empty

DownsideUp 01/12/2010 #

Do as many as you would like as long as there is at least 30
