i have tried and sent candy overseas, but the post office always opens the envelope up and takes the candy out. I would love to do this swap, but i dont want anything happening to the package i send. any suggestions??

You can't buy those three things from California USA for 5.00-at least where I live here at the Beach

I put together a really nice package from Canada, representative of the country and the area I'm from. In order to do this and get pretty things that my partner can use, enjoy and get a laugh and craft fix from it cost me $25.00-$30.00. Tourist items are tricky as they can at times be a bit cheapy or tacky. I really like this swapping because it takes thought and care. One of my first swap partners from Portugal set a good standard for me with her amazing package of things that I really enjoyed and can use. They were even made right in her country. She really read my profile and was very creative. I love this site it's all about creative caring folks. I'm really enjoying getting to know site members.

@lepapillonvert this is an economic swap and not from $25.00-$30.00!! In this if intends to make a swap of the kind should organize t! deals with sending a postcard, of the candies and a souvenir (keychain, magnet, figurine..) and even some small extras of your country not a heavy package that would cost a lot with the international mail! if you intend to send that package can do it but not to pretend that your patner does the same! could specify it before participating!

I just went to our local truck stop and found post cards for 39 cents each, key chain $1.99 to $4.99, magnets $1.99 to $4.99, shot glasses, $2.99 to $7.99. They also had tea cup and saucer set, ash trays, coffee mugs, mini ink pen, back scatcher, small wall plates, and of course all these cost more.

FYI- Souvenirs at the truck stops, train stations, airports, and where ever you do some of your site seeing. I have even found some at our Wal-Mart here in the USA.
