...whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things.

This swap requires a 1 week commitment to writing about something that you are grateful for each day, AND a willingness to send 6 separate postcards to your partner (with postage and no envelope), 1 for each day of the week.


Here's the breakdown of how it will work:

  1. Starting on Sunday, February 28, 2010, write what you are grateful for each day on a postcard then post it the next day.

  2. Send 1 GRATITUDE postcard for each day of the week (Day 1: Sunday, posted on Monday, etc.) for a total of 6 postcards to your partner, through Saturday, March 6, 2010.

  3. Postcards are sender's choice, and they should be different each day. Alternatively, you can choose to match them to your partner's profile, or select postcards that relate to your daily gratitude.

  4. Mark sent AFTER you have sent all 6 of the postcards (i.e. on Saturday, March 6, 2010, which is the swap deadline.)

  5. Rate your partner AFTER you have received all 6 postcards in the mail.


Participants MUST have a rating higher than 4.75 (edited on 25 Feb 2010) and NO no-sends within 6 months of the swap.

ALL participants MUST have a well filled out profile complete with several of your favorite things and other preferences.

Questionable swappers will be banned at the host's discretion.


EXAMPLE of what NOT to write:

  • I am grateful for my dog.

Suggestion for improvement: write about WHY your dog makes you feel so grateful.

In other words, don't just write one sentence. Think of this like a mini journal entry that you send!


One final note: Partners will be assigned no later than 6:00pm (PST) on Sunday, February 28, 2010.

On swap #1 I had a terrific partner. I really feel like I got to know her. She actually made it a small journal sheet and did a great job. I am joining because of her. She made it a wonderful swap. By the way, this terrific partner is Karlakc.

@Belladonnalove postcards are sender's choice, but keep in mind that some people DO NOT LIKE to receive homemade cards. When in doubt, check with your partner BEFORE sending.

What a great idea.... found this by accident and so glad I did... I just was talking to a friend about having an attitude of gratitude... isn't it amazing how those vibrations work!?! ...scatter joy...
