Description:

This will be a series of swaps - once a month.

YOU can join one swap or two or three or all of them, its totally up to you.

You will create a journal page based on the theme of the month - this month's theme is OUT MY WINDOW

Choose a window in your home and look out it, what do you see, write about what you see. The entry should be more than 4 or 5 lines.

Your entry can even be put into a poem if you would like, the choice is yours.

It can be typed or it can be handwritten. Please make sure your partner can read it.

You can make the page more interesting with a drawing of what you see either as a light background behind the writing, or draw a picture and put it down below your journal entry. You can even take a picture and glue it on to your journal entry if you want to.

PAPER SIZE: Size no bigger than 8 1/2" x 11" which would be the standard size of paper that you use in your printers.

No smaller than 26.7x20.3cm which is about 10 1/2" high by alittle more than 8" wide. Does that make sense, it seem to be the normal notebook size.

Also please remember to include both your real name, where you live (so your partner understands more about your entry) and your spark user name.

REMINDER - very important - PLEASE have your journal entry in the mail by the send date, PLEASE contact your partner prior to the last send date that you will be late, if you are going to be. This is grounds for not meeting the swap, and Communication is very important.

If your going to be late please let your partner know and me as well. Thanks so much!

should it be 8 x10 letter size or three holed binder or what? sorry to be so dumb!! But I am really interested in doing the swap.

Cygni 02/11/2010 #

I really like this idea but I think we should all write in a paper of the same size. It would be easier to make some kind of binded journal when we have all the pages.

I agree there needs to be a set size of paper it would make it easier

When/if you provide the size the page should be, can you please include exact measurements in cm and/or inches? American Letter paper is similar in size to our A4 but it's not exact, and if you wanted to bind them it might look a bit scrappy. Or else you'd have to trim the page... Also, folder paper where I live (Australia) has 7 holes; rarely just 2, and never 3 or 4. (The 7 holes are grouped so that most binders can accommodate the pages.) So, just a li'l warning for any swap-bot fuss-pots that you may get a few extra holes if folder paper is the choice! Great swap idea, @Emeraldcharm14

We use A4 in the UK but usually trim down to 8 x 10" for USA swaps. Like the idea of doing a different theme every month and making a book at the end, this could run and run.

Good questions I will look into it and update tonight on the paper, your right more uniform would be a good idea.

I've recently done a Round Robin journal - my first - and loved doing it. This could be a nice idea.

I'm looking forward to this! My one question is this-will we be signing up every month? Thanks, Dreamweaver

This swap will have a different theme each month, but its up to you if you want to join each month, or pick and choose the topic month. Definitely your choice though.

Cygni 02/12/2010 #

Uhh... About the size, why don't you put one standard size? Let's say A5 = 148 Γƒβ€” 210 cm = 5.8 Γƒβ€” 8.3 in. and everyone has to trim their paper to that size.

Cygni 02/12/2010 #

Sorry, 14'8 x 21'0 cm

You can fold your papers, please don't let that stop you inorder to get it into an envelope and not pay a lot for postage - do fold your paper to send.
