I really like drawstring bags. I like them even better with spring surprises in them!
Drawstring bags are a fun and crafty alternative to gift wrapping things in boxes and wrapping paper. Cheaper too! Many drawstring bags can be made from a FQ.
The internet is rife with tutorials on how to make drawstring bags and different sewing skill levels. Here are just a few that I found while doing a google search this morning!
Ok Γ’β¬β here are the swap details:
You will SEW one fabric pouch using spring theme, pattern, or "feel" to it. When creating your bag, please be sure the profile surprise fits easily in the bag.
You will send your partner a profile surprise valued between $3-$5 USD in the fabric bag that youΓ’β¬β’ve sewn for them. Please check your partners profile to see what their likes, dislikes and possible allergies are before heading out for the store. This should be a very personalized swap based on their profile.
Please include a nice chatty note on a spring card Γ’β¬β homemade or storebought. Only writing the swap name and your Swapbot id in the card is not ok and does not meet swap requirements.
Sending out-of-date, fragile, or otherwise undesirable items is not in the spirit of the swap. If you are sending food or treats, please only send unopened items and in the original packaging.
Let's be thoughtful and make the swap special for your partner!
If you are sending food items, please put your items in a zip-top baggie inside of your package, padded envelope or box to avoid a horrible mess if the product leaks or has a "postal accident."
Please also be considerate of your outer shipping materials and use appropriate mailers. If a box is needed, please use a box.
Please rate your swap partner promptly for the package you have received.
This swap is open to all members in the group with no recent 1's or 3's.
Please make every effort to send your swap on time - if for some reason you are not able to send your package by the send by date - please communicate with your partner and host. We all know how emergencies come up. We are an understanding group, but communication is key! We rely on being able to have a fun and safe swap environment here - let's keep it that way! :-)
Happy Spring and Happy Swapping!
