Description:

Let's make a spooky Halloween Fairy door, and keep the dimensions around 6" tall or less, and about 3 to 4" wide...you get to draw the shape, I like rounded tops, but arches are fine...use some heavy cardboard, like from cereal boxes and decorate front and back...the back doesn't have to be fancy, but some paper will do fine. Include your name and info on the back. I can't wait to see what you all make from this idea. Let's have two partners, send one door to each partner...that should be doable. Any questions, just ask. I'm going to make a few 3-D objects on mine, like a keyhole...will try and get it posted tomorrow.

I finally finished my first one, and can't wait to do another. It was fun making the broomstick from a twig and some string..The blood ozzing from the window is the Martha Stewart punch. I just drew the boots since my stamp was too small. The spider is a small pompom and the cobwebs are stuff from an old brillo pad. Hope you like it.

I love making fairy does and am so glad you started this swap. I make mine out of polymer clay....Is that's OK for this swap?

Since I'm not a papercrafter, I was wondering too if it was okay to use another medium?

Of course other mediums are accepted, paper clay, polymer clay, as long as you can mail it. please package it carefully so it arrives safely. Remember, it's two doors, one per partner. Mine is paper, twig and string but also three dimensional.

Just a heads up for my partners: I joined this swap as it sparked my husband's interest. He is making the doors for this swap, so when you get your doors from "Mr. December" you understand why. He just finished the first door and it's worlds more amazing than anything I could have ever created. I hope you both like yours, too! I'm really proud of him.
