I just want stuff in an envelope

I like post cards, greetings cards, pens(unique ) and most anything nice Patty

I hadn't thought about pens, good thought, thank you. I also like Christmas cards and landscape photos.

some drink mixes? small candy? some cosmetic testers? Is it profile based? I mean, that the partner sends us things we mentioned on our wishlist.. or just anything random?

@Kay Do you prefer these to be standard paper envelopes, or standard-sized, but padded envelopes? I was thinking paper until you talked about sending pens which tear through paper envelopes. Even cardboard (CD/DVD-style) ones, I recently found. And that was within my own country!

papercaper...you can use good strong clear or fun patterned packing tape on a paper envie to help secure it.

i like pencils, stickers, ribbons, buttons, candies, postcards(unused), scrapbook materials, hair clippies, ATC, little wooden statues :)

I love stickers! Cute paper, pads, bookmarks, magnets, coins, stamps, seed packets.

Im very easy to please and will enjoy whatever I get, but some things I like are robbon,postcards, paper, tim burton characters, anything emo, goth or punk. Thanks!

Sorry folks I have been sidetracked, so have not looked at your comments. Please note I have changed the swap to newbies welcome, but with a filled out profile.

I was thinking an ordinary envelope but as you have pointed out things like pens do gnaw through an ordinary envelope so if that is what you choose to send you may have to resort to a padded or card envelope.

I do tend to look at a partner's profile and try not to send them something they would loath, I mean not everybody is a neon pink freak, personally I can't use most food items(allergies)but I do like the idea of random goodies, that way I might get something which I had no idea existed, and a whole new addiction may form.

I'd love bookmarks, stickers, loose memos, greeting cards, just about anything as long as it isn't old, obviously used or just crappy (can you believe I even have to put this out there, shouldn't it be common sense? LOL) but please no crafty items.

I can see why you you wrote that, it is a fair comment. I know I am lacking common sense on a bad day, even on a good day. Some love old things and consider the patina of age to add charm while others like me are driven wild by the scent of new paper. You can have your Chanel No 5, give me that new stationery smell any day.

I have two hair accessory loving little girlies so that would be lovely. I also have a helicopter obssessed little boy..I am new to this swapping game but would love anything unique to your country and cute stationary or crafty items would be great

if mailing pens or pencils it is a good idea to tape them to the inside of the package. i think i have had three swaps that stated they were supposed to contain a pen or pencil and there is hold at the bottom of the package just big enough where the writing utensil most likely fell out in transit.

Okay I am about to assign partners, this swap is largely sender's choice with some consideration for your partners, try not to send them things they will loath, but it's not about rushing out to buy everything on their wish list. It is about surprise and a bit of fun. The pen issue is up to you, bizzles had a good suggestion.

This a chance for newbies, including me who hasn't been around very long, if you are having problems, delays etc, please let your partners know. Most of the folk on this site are forgiving if they know what is going on.

another thing that works well for pen are padded envies. Just a bit to added to my please do not send list. Perfume, perfumed items (allergic), craft or sewing supplies I do not so either. Thanks! Can't wait to see what I get!
