Since we are experiencing a revival of this great book due to the Tim Burton movie of the same name out now, this swap will be for our lady Alice. If there is enough interest, we will make this a series swap, and I will welcome your suggestions for who to swap next. In this swap you will recreate Alice. You can make a classic Alice, a Tim Burton Alice,or a Disney Alice, within these guidelines: Alice must be between seven and nine inches tall. She must have on a white pinafore and a blue dress. Okay, this is EDITED!!! as of 3-14-10. I just returned from watching the Tim Burton version and now have to say that if you chose to do the Burton version, your Alice does NOT have to have a pinafore. You can do any of the blue dress incarnations from the movie; the garden party dress from the opening scenes, the too-big dress from the rabbit hole scene, or the dress the hatter makes for her. Loooved the movie - especially the costumes. She must be made of sturdy tagboard or backed with cardboard. Please make this your very best effort. If you decide to print out a premade doll for your Alice, please create the clothing yourself and glue it to the doll. We want these to be a creative effort and not just a cut-and-paste type of doll. Newbies are certainly welcome, but please make sure the quality of your work in the cutting, pasting, and embellishing departments are high quality/done to the best of your ability. |
