Description:

Hi Fellow Swappers, Back in January, Amanda, @accessaesthetic hosted this swap for 18-25 y.o. I thought it was such a good idea and she graciously agreed to let me use her swap for an older crowd. I've edited the original description only slightly.

Description:
Here's a real easy swap to get to know a couple of fellow swap-bot-ers. Let's make some friends! Newbies, this one is definitely for you!

Please join ONLY if you are 35 or over!

In this swap you will email, private message or snail mail 5 partners with the answers to the following questions:

What is your name?

How old are you?

Where do you live? (You don't have to answer with your address - country or state are perfectly acceptable)

What do you like most about where you live?

What do you like least?

Is there anything completely unique to where you live?

Do you have any pets? What kind?

Do you have any siblings? What are they like?

Do you have a boyfriend/girlfriend/husband/wife? What are they like?

What is your occupation? Do you work? Do you go to school? Both?

Where do you work? (if applicable)

Where do you go to school? (if applicable)

What is your favorite hobby?

What would your dream house consist of?

Have you traveled? If so, where? What was your favorite destination and why?

What are your plans for the future?

What are a couple of your favorite songs at the moment?

Do you have a piece of advice you think everyone should know?

What is one of your guilty pleasures?

What is one of your favorite recipes?

What do you want to learn?

***Please feel free to include any other information you would like.

All swappers 35 years old and older are welcome to join this swap. NEWBIES ARE CERTAINLY WELCOME! Let's meet a couple people and have a good time =)

You can email your partners, use the PM option or send the swap via snail mail.

Looking forward to meeting you!

If I join, could I request that my partners send their answers via snail mail? I do swaps so I can get fun stuff in my mail.

TAnn 03/17/2010 #

me too. I love snail mail letters

leathomp 03/17/2010 #

Snail Mail for me too!

kraftykj 03/17/2010 #

I also want snail mail! Thanks:)

kellylynn9 03/17/2010 #

I also like snail mail! :)

paperfairys 03/17/2010 #

Newbie here ... sounds fab, im 40 in a few months so would love to be included x

fieldstudio31 03/17/2010 #

Perhaps...it's my age (gulp)...I'd prefer snail mail too!

wolfeagle 03/17/2010 #

For my partners, I also prefer snail mail, though I would still be happy with an email version:)

pahasiga 03/18/2010 #

Must be your age indeed - I'd prefer e-mail, but I am only 34. ;)

keroleen73 03/18/2010 #

Definitely an age thing: Snail mail for me too, please :-)

livingleather 03/20/2010 #

meh. I'm interested, but too young. I'm only 35.

Filpot 03/20/2010 #

I'd love to do this by snail mail. It would be wonderful to receive five letters from new potential friends - wonderful enough to endure the arm ache from writing it all five times about myself! Watching for now.......

wolfeagle 03/24/2010 #

@JamesMontestruc I've corrected it to what it should have read, 35 and over is welcome. Thank You.

Ssusiesthimbles 03/25/2010 #

Its not my age...lol but I also prefer snail mail :)

~Susie

lulubiz 03/26/2010 #

Maybe it's my age... but please could somebody explain to me what is snail mail ? lol (in fact it's probably that I just don't know that particular english expression...and it is not in the glossary)

wolfeagle 03/26/2010 #

Snail mail is regular old fashioned mail

lulubiz 03/26/2010 #

Thanks wolfeagle !

loricritt 03/27/2010 #

I would suggest making two swaps, one email and the other snail mail. This is listed as an email swap.

wolfeagle 03/27/2010 #

Yes, for this swap you can choose to send by email, snail mail or PM.

blaacraft 03/28/2010 #

as this will be my first EVER swap, I would love to get some snail mail!!

masito 03/29/2010 #

18-25 and 35+ how about 26-34?

Filpot 03/29/2010 #

I've just had an idea for the snail mail fans (me included) who might be daunted by the idea of hand-writing all this information five times - how about if we copy and paste the list of questions into a Word document and type the answers? We can easily print this out five times, then write a nice note to accompany the typed information, put the whole lot in an envelope, and make somebody's day with a big FAT bit of fascinating snail mail!

wolfeagle 03/31/2010 #

@Filpot That's a great idea and certainly something you can do.

BarkleysMommy 03/31/2010 #

I'm in and would also prefer snail mail :-)

AJJR2010 04/ 2/2010 #

I just turned 35 a few weeks ago so I guess I can join.:)

HoosierRain 04/ 3/2010 #

I would prefer snail mail as well. Thanks!

melkj2 04/ 5/2010 #

I would love snail mail too! :)

Tynkerbelle 04/ 6/2010 #

I will join the snail mail desires...love waiting for the postlady :)

Kokonino 04/16/2010 #

I should've had a look at messages posted here before starting... am feeling a little guilty I did this swap by email. Being surrounded by wired-in college kids all day, I forget there are still some of us who value a tangible letter. Yay 35+ers for keeping the snail-mail flame alive!

Ky 04/17/2010 #

I sent mine snail mail and then an e-mail back-up to any I haven't heard from to make sure they get it by the "send" date!
