Description:

I've gotten the idea from another swap that is going on right now, from the State Bird and State Flower Swap, but this time focusing on the Swedish Regions instead. I will be doing this in an alphabetical order, there are 25 regions all in all, beginning with Blekinge. The swedish regions have 7 different symbols for each region (landscape) but here I will only be listing four symbols : Flower, Animal, Bird and Insect. Though some of the regions have combined Animal/Bird. You will include all four of these symbols on each ATC including the name of the region. You will also include the swedish name of each item listed on the ATC, as I have listed below. I have included both the english translation of the subject and the latin name to help your googling easier on the net.

2nd ATC Region:

  • BohuslÀn
  • Flower: Kaprifol (swedish), Honeysuckle (english), Lonicera caprifolium (latin)
  • Animal: KnubbsÀl (swedish), Harbor Seal (english), Phoca vitulina (latin)
  • Bird: Strandskata (swedish), Oystercatcher (english), Haematopus ostralegus (latin)
  • Insect: Myskbock (swedish), Musk Beetle (english), Aromia moschata (latin)

On the back of the ATC you will write:

  • Svenska Landskaps Symboler - Swedish Regional Symbols
  • Your name
  • Your location
  • Date of Creation : YYYY / MM / DD

You can draw, make a collage, paint or however you would like to make them, it's all up to you :) You will make one ATC for your partner, and send it in a sealed envelope.

Hope you all have fun!
