Description:

Edited - so that there aren't so many partners.

For this swap you will have one partner that you will send one handmade paper dress garland to, with total of six dresses on the garland. The garland should hang horizontally. They should be at least 4" in height and embellish them nicely. The dresses can be hung on decorative string or ribbon. You can attach them by glueing, using tiny clothespins, tiny coat hangers, or whatever else you can think of.

This is sender's choice but it's always nice to look at your partner's profile for ideas on color preference, etc.

Making a total of 6 dresses may seem like a lot but paper dresses are easy and fairly quick to make and the design possibilities are endless. You can look on Flickr or Google to get ideas and to find paper dress templates. If you need help in finding web links let me know. Use your imagination and make the type of dresses you would like to receive.

The photo was taken from the web as an example of the type of paper dress that you can make.

This is international because they are very lightweight and shouldn't be too expensive to mail. Please remember that it takes longer (sometimes much longer) for packages to come/go to/from overseas. Wait at least 4 weeks after the deadline before contacting your partner if your swap hasn't arrived.

Newbies are welcome with well filled out profiles. A couple of one or two sentence paragraphs is not acceptable. If you need help in filling out your profile please let me know.

Otherwise, no 1's in the last six months, no unexplained 3's and at least a 4.8 rating.

If you sign up please be responsible enough to send. Rate your partners when you receive. If they are extra special, if the sender puts forth a lot of effort, etc., it's always nice to give a heart.

Cute idea! I can't join in the fun this time because I am moving. Maybe next time.

Good luck with the new house!

Can you give a link for getting patterns for this? I'm using this swap as an impetus to do the same thing for my granddaughters so I'll be making three.

Thank you arielrobin, those are great sites and especially the "Templates" site. What a gem for ideas. I'm bookmarking that one.

You're welcome @ coleenfranks. I've got it book marked as well. The "Templates" site (the last link) has lots of paper craft templates for those of you who like working with paper.
