These cost so much to mail overseas, but I love the idea.

Not really, they are under a pound.

I HAVE to join this swap! I have TONS of composition books I remake into beautiful(if I do say so myself!) journals! Speaking from experience-because you cannot send them media mail-they are expensive to mail :( .

If you write something on the front page it can be considered media?? I've done that....

why not send them media?? because it's international?? hmmm

media mail is for books and things like that, writing something on the first page I don't think makes it media. This is guidelines from the usps site: Generally used for books (at least eight pages), film (16 mm or narrower), printed music, printed test materials, video and sound recordings, playscripts, printed educational charts, loose-leaf pages and binders consisting of medical information, and computer-readable media. Sound recordings may include incidental announcements of recordings and guides or scripts prepared solely for use with such recordings. Books may contain no advertising other than incidental announcements of other books.

also when you send something media mail, you give the PO the right to open and make sure it's actually media mail. If it's not, by their standards, they will charge you regular price.

Ok so you can put something in with it that is media mail.

Anything educational is considered media mail.

generally if it's just one book, it is cheaper to send parcel post than media mail anyway, and days faster in arriving. I always ask them to weight it both ways and go the cheapest.

media mail rates do not apply to overseas. I do not think these are too heavy myself and they do fit nicely in a bubble envie. No box required.

if you send in a bubble envie overseas it needs a customs declarations if it's coming from us. i was advised to send w/out the bubble... i sent a letter in a bubble envie over 2 weeks ago and still has not arrived...
