Description:

This swap will be for two handmade greeting cards, one to each partner, same or different. You MUST USE A RUBBER OR DIGI STAMP FOR YOUR MAIN IMAGE. Please make each card a minimum of 4.25” x 5.5” AFTER folding. Round or shaped cards must be a minimum of 4”, smallest diameter. The front must be more than one layer with at least 3 embellishments and the main image must be stamped. Feel free to buy your card locally or in a handmade online shop if you wish to participate and do not make your own cards.

Digi images are NOT clip art or other online sourced images. These are a high dpi images, specifically a substitute for rubber stamps though a TON are available free; Google Digi image, Digi stamp or Digital stamp. Please consult your partners’ profiles to make sure they like the theme, colours, sentiment etc. This will be considered in your partner’s rating.

Please use ALL quality items to make this card. If you prefer CAS (clean and simple) designs with only one layer, please send me an image of the card at least 3 days before the sign up deadline and I will decide if the card(s) is acceptable. Please do not be offended, I am only trying to rule out a plain piece of CS with an uncoloured/undecorated/unembellished stamped image in the middle! Stickers, AS ACCENTS, should be limited to high quality scrapbooking or card making stickers, not the kind meant for kids.

Adding a greeting/sentiment is optional, blank is fine inside or out. Please add a message to your partner, your choice of writing it in the card or on stationery tucked inside so the card can be reused. (Earth Day encourages the latter!) You can include details about the card, what is going on in the day, details about who you are, where you live, your family etc but please write more than ‘hi, great swap eh?’ (YES, I am CANADIAN!!)  Feel free and sign the back with your name/email etc. Adding an envelope is encouraged especially for cards that can be still be sent (no writing inside) but not required.

Must have a 4.8 rating to join with no 1s EVER or 3s in the last 6 months, PM me for exceptions. Anyone who uses clip art/excessive stickers will be banned from future swaps. Newbies welcome with very WELL filled out profiles but must PM me, AT LEAST 3 DAYS BEFORE sign up deadline, asking to join to show you are serious. Please visit http://eclecticendeavours.blogspot.com/2010/04/swap-bot-handmade-card-swap.html for some links to inspirational blogs and websites if you need them.

If this swap is well-received, it will become a series so I hope you like it! Next up? Cards with Moving Parts-1 partner.

So NOT offended and actually quite the opposite. So nice to see someone else is tired of making fabulous cards and getting JUNKY JUNK in return! I recently got a piece of computer paper - not even cardstock! - with a frayed piece of ribbon glued to the front. That's it; the whole card!!! It was the first 3 I had ever given, although not the first one that deserved it. I'm so in!!!!!

JKupsh Wow, that really sucks. Yep, this swap is for really good cards. I hope the guidelines make people at least try hard. the card you got wasn't even trying as I have had newbies in my classes make nicer cards! And there are so many good tutorials out there! No excuses!

I lived for many years just south of International Falls, Minnesota. Eh was used a lot in our vocabulary as well. As a matter of fact, friends used to give me a hard time because I used it in my letter writing as well. :)
