My favorite things I have gotten from Swap-Bot have been things based on my profile, and I also love creating something for someone based on theirs. So...lets take one of those cheap, boring composition books and turn it into a great personalized journal for someone based on what their profile says they like (and also look for the dislikes). We will be decorating the cover only, this isn't one where you have to do something on the pages inside the journal. You may decorate the journal in anyway you would like, as long as some effort is put into it. (For example, don't just put a few stickers all over it and call it done!) People really get into these and spend some time on them, so keep that in mind when signing up for this.

You obviously must have a well filled out profile in order to join this swap. If you don't, I will either suggest you add some likes and dislikes to your profile or I will remove you from the swap. You don't get to pick exactly what you want your journal theme to be (thus the 'surprise' part) so make sure you list several themes that you really like on your profile so your partner has more options.

You will have one partner to send to. Since this is a kind of labor intensive swap, I'm not going to allow newbies in this one this time. I won't have time to angel this swap, so I want to make every effort to be sure everyone gets their journal. No recent 1s on your profile either. If you have anything questionable on your profile, I will probably convo or ban you. Everyone will have over 2 weeks once the partners are assigned to make sure they have plenty of time to check out the profiles, decide what to do, get it made and in the mail. This is also international.

So, we just decorate the cover and leave the journal blank inside for your partner to use?

I am so in :0) I love themed altered composition books! And I love that the inside is blank - that way you can use them however you want :0)

@Gofeen ..yep just decorate the cover, you can also do inside the cover if you would like but leave pages blank so the person can use it however they would like.

@hoosier girl...me too! I have gotten several from swap bot thati just love! They are so cool that I don't want to use them!

sorry for sounding dumb but can you describe a composition book as I think its our version of an excerise book but want to be sure incase I do it wrong (are they like the types you use at school).

Also could I handmake one because if it is such a book as I think they come in packs of 4-6 and I'll have no use for the others.

samash - a composition book is a bound notebook - not put together with a spiral wire. Here's a link to show you what we are referring to..... not sure what you have in England that's comparable.... but I'd sure love to to be partnered with someone from another country :0) (to receive from AND to send to).

I'm not sure what they are called here either as excerise books tend to have a square edge but are similar to this type of book with margin and lines, also they don't have any writing in that and the covers are paper (so not hard/sturdy). I think I have seen this here but not often so I'll have to see if I can find one before I join.

Samash, if you have a book that is comparable that will work. Just make sure it is sturdy and will hold up to the shipping and use as a journal. Thanks for asking!!!
