Adorable Whimsey Jars

is a whimsy jar just stuffed full of stuff or is it more like a scene inside a jar??

a whimsy jar is like a jar of inspiration for your partner. It is not a scene inside of a jar. It is meant to bring inspiration to your partner. It usually has a big variety of items in a small container. Usually it has some sort of them, like a color, or spring, beach, holiday etc. If you partner was a papercrafter it might have a variety of ribbons, brads, buttons, small embellishments etc. For a sewer, maybe thread, embroidery floss, buttons, bits of lace, a prety square of fabric, etc. It also could just be general, example : if your theme is cupcakes, it might have a piece of cupcake ribbon, a little packet of sprinkles, maybe a little ballerina that would go on top of a cupckake, or some stickers and a cute little cupcake eraser. :o) It is more of a pretty assortment of bits and baubles, rather than say buying your partner a sticker sheet and a roll of ribbon :o)

For this swap, we will decorate the jar itself in some way and then fill it with fun items. I have seen jars decorated with ribbons and fabric around the top, or more heavily decorated with images and beads, etc, on the outside. How and how much you choose to decorate your jar is up to you. I only ask that you send a quality swap.
I also like the scene in the jars, like caught fairies and mermaids, etc.....maybe that can be one of the next swaps. I'm totally open to suggestions. :)

Wolfeagle - Just a suggestion. At this point there are only 2 people in your swap with 9 watchers. I would refine this a little more to list exactly what size bottle to use. If you leave it open one person may feel a little baby jar is sufficient and another swapper may do a large mayonnaise size jar. That difference in jar size makes a huge difference on what you get because you can get a lot of stuff in a mayonnaise jar. Just a thought.

@jfreeman Thanks for the suggestion. I'm thinking a small to medium size jar, like baby food, salsa, dips, artichokes, mustard, small mayo jar, and any other small food jar, etc. Please clean the jars completely. Thank you.
