Description:

Iggygirl had a similar swap with 20 partners and International- I asked her if I could created a similar swap and she said yes. So, here it goes.

You have up to 10 partners (if less then 10 sign up then that means you'll be sending to all other participants) and to each you will send a small profile surprise in a 1 stamp envelope. For example you could send tea bag(s), bookmark, postcard, photographs, recipes, stickers etc just as long as the item matches their profile. Include a small note stating swap name, your username and why you sent what you did. They said they liked dogs so you sent a photo of your dog, they like tea so you sent 2 tea bags, they like to read so you sent a bookmark, they like to cook so you send a recipe etc.

You have a full month to send out all the envies but please don't hit send until every envie is in the mail. I'd suggest mailing them all at the same time so one doesn't get overlooked.

Requirements: Must have been on swap-bot at least 1 month with at least 20 type 2 and/or type 3 swaps completed. 4.9 or higher rating no recent 1's or 3's Must have a well filled out profile with a wishlist and likes list. :)

Yay, I'm glad you're doing a US only & 10 partners swap. The international/20 partner one was a little much for me. :)

DavesMom 06/23/2010 #

Yes, this is the perfect swap for me too. Not too many, but enough to make it fun, and I also like that it's regional. Thanks for hosting! Γ’β„’Β₯

Thanks this looks fun .I'd rather do 10 US than 5 international . Peace and Happy swapping

Thank you so much for being a fast hostess!!!! I love it when I can get the stuff ready the same night if possible... Thanks again for assigning partners so quickly

I was asked if hand made items were acceptable. I said yes as long as they are well made.

user2637 07/ 7/2010 #

Seems like a lot of people are using more than 1 stamp (I've rec'd 2 packages with more than 1 stamp so far). We're supposed to stick to one stamp, right?

pinkqueen 07/12/2010 #

technically one stamp is the idea- however I know that if your envelope is too rigid or lumpy even if it is light they require more postage. If you don't mind the extra postage its okay to send something that costs more- but if you want to stick to one stamp then your items should be more flat- stickers, postcard,etc.. type things.

user2637 07/15/2010 #

Hm.. It appears to me from the description that 1 stamp is a requirement of the swap. shrug

zurdoswifey 07/24/2010 #

I would like to apologize to my partners... I have received some of the envies I mailed back for not enough postage even though they shouldn't have required more cuz I have one of those things from the PO that measures envies to see if they need a surcharge... I guess the clerk was sick of me always asking... he just gave me his thing... lol

Anyways... I know some ppl have received this swap from me from ratings... However if anyone gets this from me postage due please let me know and I will send you the postage you paid in stamps if thats ok... I am sure that if any needed extra postage I added it instead of making a whole new envie... seemed kinda silly to me to do that... lol

zurdoswifey 07/24/2010 #

Oh yeah and all the ones I got back have been dropped back off tonight so they will get picked up tomorrow... I made sure to drop them off in the city next to ours so they will def get picked tomorrow at 2pm

pinkqueen 07/25/2010 #

The swap does say one stamp envelope- I don't want people rated down though because they used more postage- its really hard these days to send one stamp- because things that should only be one stamp based on weight are being charged more if they are not completely flat or are rigid at all- I use my postal scale but its tricky when you look on the usps website because unless you click the button for letter with rigid item you will be told a diff amount ...

USPS says surcharge if "It is too rigid Γ’β‚¬β€œ does not bend easily"- (that could be a bookmark or a postcard) Also anything that cannot go through machine such as a pen.

I will make sure if I do this swap again to specify that postage should be as close to 1 stamp as possible.

Sorry for any confusion.

DarbyFlats 07/28/2010 #

The surcharge is 20 cents, to boot. Not just a few cents.

It can only be a certain thickness, lots and lots of rules. It can be very tricky. In most cases, the sender would have no idea the envie was postage due. It's quite annoying, lol.

My envies will go out today. Thanks for the polite reminder.
