This one is for all those owl lovers out there. This is an international swap aimed at people that like to create & receive handmade crafty products. The idea is to send one partner an owl themed package! It must contain at least: 1 owl embellishment (small) Could be a button, a bead, a badge, a motif... again just something little, but owlie... 1 handmade decorative owl item (medium) Ideas - thinking small brooch, pin, hair clip, keyring, doesn't have to be huge - but beautiful YES 1 other owl item (a little larger) This could be either handmade or purchased. So long as fits into your swappers profile & it's owl related! It could be some stationery, a coin purse, a tote bag.... you get the idea OWLie! Something a little more than the other two items as mentioned above, a owlie gift! Haven't added a value as I don't want to restrict anyone, but its basically something small - the embellishment, something medium - the handmade item & something a little larger - the gift. The idea is you create a lovely owlie package that your swapper will marvel over, take inspiration from & use the items with owlie pride! Am looking for swappers with a rating of FIVE but if you are really keen to play along & for some reason feel unfairly rated, plead your case. I don't want people to feel pushed away but on the other hand I will ban flakers! If you are looking for inspiration www.flickr.com have a good OWL craft group, like wise you can search Esty.com for owls & will see some stunning work. okay so I created this little owlie group for us to share ideas, plans, inspiration & pictures of handmade owlie things!

There is a lovely owl group too, which is great for inspiration, but this one is just for hand crafted goodies.

So show off your creations! (and please please please someone else join it as I am so lonely all by myself!)

Just to let you know, i'm going on holiday tomorrow (Mon 27th) for a week, so i won't be around when the swap sign-up date comes around. I probably won't be checking email, either. Just thought i'd say in case any emails/ PMs are sent about the swap. Cheers,

Some EXCELLENT owls in the flickr group thanks girls - great inspiration.

Can't wait to see who I get & start aking them something. The sign up date seems to have taken ages to get here!

OH & don't forget to take those photos too - I usually remember just after my post office visit! But really trying not to forget anymore as love looking at what everyone else came up with & want my stuff to be in the mix too!

Glad everyone seems to be enjoying this.

Don't know why but I was convinced it was the 29th today! Silly me! Thats what happens when you don't work - every day merges into one & life becomes a (happy) blur! Oh well gained two days!

I'm just off to the PO now! It closes in half an hour so i'm cutting it wee bit fine - it might not actually leave to PO till Monday (? I don't really know much about the inner workings of the Royal Mail...).
