Description:

After joining in a comment below list your tshirt size and the 5 themes.

Once you receive your partner look for their comment choose one of their themes and then either buy or make (as in get a blank tshirt and paint/draw/sew/embroider/iron on etc) a tshirt that matches that theme in their size ofcourse.

For example if the theme is bird you either buy a shirt with a bird on it or you get a blank shirt and put a bird on it. Just make sure if you choose to make, you're using a medium meant for fabric so it doesn't wash out.

Requirements: At least 10 rated swaps. 4.9 or higher rating no recent unexplained 1's or 3's.

Note: if anyone's having trouble finding t-shirts in the right size try online shops like ebay, and sites like http://www.cafepress.ca/index.aspx will allow you to design your own t-shirts. If you design your shirt online save shipping/time by sending it directly to your partner then just pm your partner to let them know it's coming.

If anyone has any other suggestions of places to design t-shirts online feel free to mention them in a comment

Maxwell Street Days are coming up and I was thinking this could be a fun swap, but couldn't come up with how to do it myself. I'll see what requirements you post and am watching for now.

I'm wondering about the larger sizes: I wear a 2x-4x (depending on how snug-vs-loose the shirt is), and sometimes those sizes are either not available, or more expensive.

I prefer 4x, so what I could offer, to my swap partner, is that I'd send them two tees (or something else extra, if they prefer) to compensate for the extra trouble &/or expense.

My size varies from M to L (topshop size 10 or 12) depending on the cutting. But if the size doesnt fit (too small - I can give it to my mum. too big - i can give it to my maid), its okay also =]

Theme: robots, crazy graphics like Darth Vader smoking pot (lol), words like I'm hungry and you are a potato printed.

If that cant work, Eugene is a size M-L depending on the cutting. Singapore's M is UK's S. He likes star wars, Left for Dead and discovery channel stuff.

@melusina It's not necessary for you to do 2 shirts instead of 1 the partner you send to wont be the same as the partner sending to you. If anyone's having trouble finding tshirts in the right size try online shops like ebay, and sites like http://www.cafepress.ca/index.aspx will allow you to design your own tshirts. If ordering online will delay you getting your swap done just pm your partners. If you design your shirt online save shipping/time by sending it directly to your partner then just pm your partner to let them know it's coming.

Note it cost $19 (cad) plus shipping to print a tshirt on cafe press. If anyone has any suggestions for other sites please feel free to list them.

Cool! :) Ok, my themes are: monkey, skull/dia de los muertos, mushrooms, snails or hedgehogs. Oh- and I like my shirts roomy, so an XL please. :)

My themes are wolves, fairies, flowers, butterflies, and dogs. Size 2XL or 3XL

glowgoyle 07/ 2/2010 #

My themes are witch, bat, Doctor Phibes (check out the movie poster), or cemetery. My size is either an XL or 2XL if the shirt is fitted!

Zazzle.com has a $13 value shirt if you want to design online http://www.zazzle.com/cr/design/pt-shirt?style=value_tshirt&color=white

Thanks for the help, iggygirl. I'm in! My themes are

  • dia de los muertos
  • scary dinosaurs
  • robots
  • older horror/sci-fi movie posters
  • Godzilla.

Nothing cutesy, nothing cartoonish, nothing smiling, please. Size 4X preferred, but 3X is acceptable. Dark (black) shirt preferred.

FiWebster 07/ 6/2010 #

oops--I just realized an exception to my "nothing smiling" preference: skulls or skeletons in a dia de los muertos design can be smiling. =grin= Mostly I said that because I don't want smiling "Barney" type dinosaurs....

Another place to go for designing your own: Spreadshirt: they're cool because the software is easy to use and they offer a wide range of colors. The regular price is $15.90 before shipping. The only drawback (for folks like me, that is =smile=) is that their shirts only go up to XXL.
