Description:

School days, school days
Dear old Golden Rule days
Reading and 'riting and 'rithmetic
Taught to the tune of the hick'ry stick
You were my queen in calico
I was your bashful, barefoot beau
You wrote on my slate, "I Love You Joe"
When we were a couple o' kids

There is nothing quite like the anticipation of getting ready for the school year to start, is there? The smell of crayons and pink pearl erasers always makes me smile. Ah....the smell of new beginnings; the start of a new school year!

This swap is for all our members, whether you have children or are children at heart! Who wouldn't like a fun pen to use at work?

This swap has a quick turn over time - many schools in the US start the second week of August so it would be nice to get their cool supplies there in time! :-)

Here are the details:

  • This swap is sender choice, but please try to send things to your partner that their child will like, or they would like. (Look at their profile and their comment below.
  • You will send your partner approximately $5 of school supplies. Some suggestions are: fun design pencils, decorative folders and notebooks, colored, patterned erasers, those gel grips that slide over pencils, bright colored pencil boxes, fun containers for the lunch boxes or other fun lunch box accessories.
  • You will send your partner a minimum of 3 items.
  • If your child has specific "no-send" items that the teacher or school has specifically asked not to be sent to school, please note in the comments. Partners, please honor these no-sends.
  • Please leave a note in the comment section how old your child is or what grade they are going in and also a few easily obtained likes. Listing obscure or hard to find items will be very difficult for your partner to find and not in the spirit of the swap.
  • Send your partner a short note with the swap telling them what you liked best about the start of the school year.
  • Please package your items appropriately and use plenty of packaging tape.
  • It is always smart to put things in zip-top bags to prevent postal accidents.
  • Let's make this a WOW! package! Sending dirty, used, otherwise undesirable or inappropriate items is not in the spirit of the swap.
  • Please send your package on time and rate promptly. If for some reason you cannot send on time, please PM both your partner and the host. We all know emergencies happen from time to time, but proper communications is a must.

Happy Swapping!

Jamie has to have certain notebooks and folders, but the rest anything goes! :-) He would enjoy: fun mechanical pencils, pencil grips, erasers for pencil tops, a fun pencil box. Other things on his list are: a ruler with inches and centimeters, a protractor, a compass, colored pencils (24 pack), 3 different colored highlighters, a pencil sharpener. :-)

My daughter's supply list is very specific and uninteresting! The only area of freedom is pencils. But she would also be happy with any fun supply she can use at home or something neat for lunch time. She will be thrilled with whatever you send!
