Description:

This swap went off so well last month and eeryone sent such marvelous backgrounds and feedback for doing it again so here we go...

Theo swap is for handmade technique backgrounds to use for handmade cards, atc's or scrap booking. You will have 4 partners to mail to and will mail each 2 pieces of the background you make. The size of the backgrounds are to be 4.25" x 5.5" which means you will get 4 from each letter size (8.5" x 11") sheet of card stock. You will make 2 sheets of the background and that gives you the 4 sets to send out! They should easily fit into a regular flat envelope to mail to your partners, so it won't be an expensive to mail swap. It is US only to also keep the postage down - sorry I am not working right now so international postage is out of my reach. Feel free to snag the idea and post an international version if you like.

Use ideas from Technique Junkies if you are a member or an online tutorial to create your backgrounds or do a resist technique or if you made something up that is fine too. (these are just ideas off the top of my head - use your imagination here!) Just be sure it is a nice/fun/usable background for someone else to make something from.

KARMA - Remember swap unto others as you wish to be swapped to! Only send something you would want to get in return and going the extra mile to make it nice is truly appreciated!

Please note that I am NOT able to angel swaps at this time, I just simply have too much going on with family obligations, lack of funds and have health issues that often prevent me from having excess craft time. I do my best to weed out the bad/flaker swappers before we even start but there is always a chance someone has an issue that prevents them from playing or mailing on time. Please try to work it out with them via the message system or email. Always remember to use the rating system - that is what it is there for to help hostesses weed people out and let others know so they aren't taken advantage of too. Thank you for understanding.

If you are new or have no ratings please contact me BEFORE signing up in regards to this swap. If you have low ratings or recent no sends please do NOT sign up this swap we do not want any disappointments! I will weed through the sign ups before clicking to assign partners.

Fantastic idea!! If anyone will do an international version of this swap, this Canadian would be verrrrry happy!

I'm absolutely up for this again; the first one was awesome. And I'd happily play in an international one too, but I'm not the one to begin it...too much on my plate just now...but it's a grand idea!

Does it have to be of any particular thickness? I have some actual handmade paper I made but it's much thinner than cardstock...

KatarinaNavane it can be handmade paper that is fine - I use it more for a layer on a card not the card base itself, I am sure others can do that also and incorporate the paper into their work!
