saw this swap as @RosieRoyalty 's and i thought i MUST do this.. .) Buy a journal and fill the first half ...the black and white composition books work the best! REMEMBER YOU CAN START WORKING ON THIS NOW AND MAIL EARLY!!! 2.) By SEPT 1 : Mail the journal to your partner who will decorate the second half 3.) By OCT 1 : Return the journals to each other to keep! :) Theme is open. (Photographs, envelopes with surprises, quotes, poems, drawings, journal entries,POETRY paintings, COLLAGE, stickers, etc etc etc) First partner decorates one cover....second partner decorates the other cover! PLEASE do not join if you think you cannot keep your end of the swap...your partner will be VERY disappointed!! let's keep this fun you guys....if your profile looks iffy,..any no sends or low ratings..i'll have to drop you! SORRY! Message me with any questions! < just a few suggestions to clarify a few things you do 1/2 of one journal and send it. They do the second 1/2 and send it BACK to you. The one that you receive will be 1/2 way done, and you do the 2nd half and send it back to the person that sent it to you. PLEASE put your address in the cover that YOU decorate so that your partner knows where to send it back to in case the packaging gets lost or thrown out, etc. COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR PARTNER IF NECESSARY!

Hooray for an international journal swap! We don't have composition books in the UK, can you give me an idea of the size and amount of pages or does it not matter?

composition books have 100 sheets approx. 7 inches by 9.5 inches so something along those lines would be okay...OH afnd also something that your partner would be able to decorate the cover of too!

Just so I have it right. I do have send to my partner and it is theirs to keep and do the other 1/2. The one I get is mine and I do the other 1/2 for myself correct?!

@HGoodbrad - The way I understood it to be was you do 1/2 of one journal and send it. THey do the second 1/2 and send it BACK to you.

The one that you receive will be 1/2 way done, and you do the 2nd half and send it back to the person that sent it to you.

Maybe we should suggest the original maker putting their address into the cover of the book so we know who to send it back to after finishing it.

This sounds like such a fun swap. I have to many intense projects right now. I sure hope you host this one again.

I have just realised that you don't seem to have allowed for posting time for the exchange. If I send on 1 September it may not be received by my partner until close on the second deadline. (1 october). It doesn't give much time to complete the journal and send back. At the very least I think partners should communicate and allow a month from when we receive the journal we send back. This swap could be a bit disastrous otherwise. Anyone else noticed this?

I agree Net3811, especially since one one person sent at the beginning of the Swap Deadline. This will happen to almost everybody.
