Description:
NOTE: This is a SPECIFIC TYPE of ribbon (see pic). If you can not send this type, do not join. Jacquard Ribbon is a woven type ribbon with designs, animals, geometric patterns, etc... on it. You'll find a lot of vintage trims are this kind. The newer jacquards are shinier with some gold trim (check our eBay for ideas), not as nice as the older, but both will do. (I prefer older, personally.) It's excellent for trim on sewing projects, handles on bags, and in collage. In this swap you will have 2 partners and you will send out at least 4 different ribbons (more is always welcome.) Each ribbon needs to be at least one yard in length. This ribbon can be a vintage ribbon find or it can be purchased new, but please make sure that it is in good condition. The ribbons should all fit in a regular size envelope. This IS an International Swap so please be prepared for this.

A friend linked me to reprodepot.com recently -- there are some really cute reproduction jacquard ribbons there, if you're looking for somewhere to buy....

I love these ribbons, I find them at estate sales a lot. I can't wait to see what I receive. I'm going to pick out what I am sending now!

Yes, estate sales are great for these type. ALthough I did just see a few woven jacquard type trims at the local fabric store with flowers and one with houses on it...
