Where do you find them?

Ad cards are postcards businesses make to advertise their business. Hotels are an excellent place to look for ad cards. You can try thrift shops too. Theme parks sell ad cards of their theme parks. Zoos, art museums, any tourist attraction sells postcards that have their business on them.

If you want to get some ad cards that advertise swap-bot, Rachel Johnson(she is the founder of swap-bot) is taking donations for a cause that she is running a marathon for. If you donate at least $5 you receive ad cards for swap-bot, in addition to swap-bot buttons and stickers. Here is the website you donate to:

I got a big pile today at the Maker Faire in Dearborn, MI! But I more often see ones that are advertising art shows, and I find them in my public library or near "community events" types of listings.

I have an 'ad card' which has a (rather 'nice'!) image on the front, and the ad/text on the back..is it ok to send a card like this (if I stick a sticky label on for the address, etc?), or..?
Thank you for your help :-)

id0be1ieve- That should be fine for you to use that ad card that has writing where you would normally write a message. Just be sure to include the title of the swap because many swappers participate in several swaps at a time and it makes it easier for them to keep track.

another place that has ALOT of free ad cards are music stores that sell like vinle, cassettes, some vds, dvds, & vhs. But they have alot of people that want to advertise bands, & they put them on postcards. We have a couple places near us that does this, so I always goto them & get all they'll let me have.

Partners have been assigned. Be sure to pm me if someone has flaked on you for this swap. I will gladly send you an ad card. Thank you for participating in the first swap I have coordinated :)
