Naturnal wonders or just the world's biggest...?

It's time to show off your town!

Pop into your local tourist information centre, hotel or tourist attraction and pick up a few brochures that you think would be interesting to someone visiting your town.

This is an international swap so we get to see more of the world without the expensive airfares!

Each participant will get 3 partners to send to.

The minimum required for completion is to send one business sized envelope with one brochure to each partner. If your brochures are single page flyers then it might be nice to include a few and make it worth the postage!

If you would like to send more than a business-sized envie, that is totally up to you. Senders choice.

The necessary bits: - Newbies with a filled out profile are welcome - If you have unexplained 1s and 3s please contact me before signing up

This is a fun idea. It might be nice if members also include a few comments about each place if they have actually been there themselves.

I never realized how many interesting , fun, and sometimes even historical places there are to visit right in my own back yard until I worked one summer for our local Tourist and Visitors Burough. Some other good places to find travel brochures in the USA iare at an AAA (American Automobile Assoc.) office, tourist attractions themselves, rest stops along turnpikes and highways, and hotel or motel lobbies. Some restaurants also have displays of brochures by their entrances, too. If you can't find any brochures within a reasonal distance from you, you can also write to your local tourist center or local attraction and request that they mail you some. HTH!

@CraftyTweetie

Thanks for the additional sources of brochures, I'm based in Australia so the US perspective is good to know.

If anyone has other suggestions please feel free to add them. :)

I did see a very old swap (2008?) which was similar to this and asked for participants to include an itinerary of how you should spend the day in their town.
