Description: | |
Thrift stores are a really great place to find some interesting, UNIQUE fabrics! Anything from vintage curtains, blankets, sheets, and even pillowcases can be used to create whatever you have in mind. I have used vintage pillowcases to make little girl dresses, laptop cases, curtains, place mats, tote bags, and the list goes on. For this swap, you will get 2 partners. Head over to your local thrift store/goodwill and pick out 1 vintage/retro pillow case for each of them. So that's one pillowcase for each of your 2 partners. One pillowcase at a thrift shop is not usually more than $0.50 to $4, depending on where you go. Make sure you read your partners profile and try really hard to find a pillowcase in the color and/or design they'd like. Don't pick out some thing too theme-y, like 'Halloween' or something like that, UNLESS your partner likes that. Also, make sure you pick out a good quality pillowcase (no holes, stains, etc.) - your partner won't be able to make something with it if it's damaged. This swap is perfect for anyone who loves things retro, and vintage. If you aren't a fan of things like this you might want to skip this swap as you won't be getting a brand new pillowcase - it will be previously owned. To enter this swap you must not have any recent unexplained 1's or 3's. Newbies are welcome with a filled out profile. |
