Swap description: Join the Club #3
Welcome to the club! I hosted 2 rounds of this swap previously (as public swaps last year), and they were lots of fun, so I decided that it was time to play again.

For this swap, you will invent your own club, and create a custom membership pack for each of your partners. Think about what you like to do, and what you would like to share - this swap is all about getting other people involved in whatever is important to you, and sharing your obsessions!

Your club could be a book club, a promo club for your Etsy store, a craft club, or just a celebration of whatever random subject happens to be your passion (but no 'adult' or religious themes, please!).

N.B. You do not have to create an entirely new club, if you already happen to run one; but the membership packs must be handmade, and must still meet the criteria outlined below.

Please make sure your membership pack includes all of the following:

  • A membership card
including the name of your club, the name of the member, & anything else you would like to include (eg member number, date joined etc). Again, the format is up to you.

  • A club newsletter
this should be a minimum of a double-sided A4/letter-size page. The newsletter can take whatever format you like, e.g. a folded sheet, stapled pages, or booklet/zine-style. Feel free to add as many extra pages as you like, and include any kind of information that is relevant re. your club theme Γ’β‚¬β€œ news, reviews, projects, puzzles, or whatever else makes sense. (Bear in mind that a standard mini-zine only covers a single side so therefore does not meet requirements.)

  • Membership guidelines and/or 'mission statement'
(ie what your club is all about): who is eligible/likely to want to join, a statement of any club rules, and any other basic, essential information relevant to your club. The guidelines may be presented as an individual item (whichever format you prefer) or incorporated within either the membership card or newsletter.

  • A club promo gift
eg button badge, bookmark, notebook, or something else relevant to your club.

Swap requirements:

  • 3 partners = 3 full membership packs sent & 3 full membership packs received.
  • Each membership pack should include a membership card, newsletter, guidelines, and a promo gift.
  • Membership card, newsletter & guidelines should be handmade by you. Promo gift maybe handmade or store-bought, as appropriate to your membership pack.
  • If you participated in a previous incarnation of this swap, please prepare a different club package than those sent previously.

The obvious bit
Rating requirement for this swap is fixed at 4.9 (as per group membership) but I will also check individual profiles before assigning partners. Any overdue swaps, persistent late-sending, recent/unexplained low ratings etc will be taken into consideration, so please contact me before sign-up date, if there is any issue you feel may count against you but can be adequately explained.

Me too. :) I don't see why such things should be confined to kids, though! ;)
