Magic Yarn Ball swap

For this swap, you will send one partner the following items:

1) Yarn (full skein) - made into a Magic Yarn Ball - see below for details

2) A pattern for an item that can be completed with the one skein of yarn

The FUN and creative part of this swap is this -- before sending your yarn, you will rewind it yourself into a 'magic yarn ball' This is a ball of yarn with any number of little treasures wrapped up inside it. When your partner uses the yarn ball, as they crochet/knit/whatever, they will gradually uncover all the hidden goodies!

Don't have time right now to crochet or knit? That's fine - you are only sending your partner the yarn & pattern -- once they receive it, it's up to them when they wish to actually USE the yarn ball! (Of course, if they wait, they won't know what you've hidden inside it for them!)

Lots of room to be creative & imaginative on this one! All kinds of things could be hidden inside a magic yarn ball - have fun!

Please take the textures of your yarn and hidden items into consideration when 'hiding' your treasures inside the yarn ball. If the yarn is likely to 'snag' or 'catch' on an item, then place that item into a tiny bag, wrap it in a scrap of fabric, or otherwise try to keep the goodies from getting "tangled" on the yarn itself.
