Description:

Halloween is such an awesome holiday. I love any holiday which requires the purchase of candy and presents in bulk. The nice thing about being a grown up is that I no longer have to go out and beg for food one day a year in order to get all that candy.

The drawback of being a "grown up" is that you go out, buy a bag of your favorite Halloween candy, and then you go home and eat the whole bag. By the time you're done eating your candy, you're downright SICK of it!

This swap is for all of us who want a little variety in our trick or treat bags. You will send 1 or 2 Halloween treats to your partner. The number of treats depends entirely on the size of the treat and your own stinginess. Just ask yourself how many you would dump into the bag of an adorable 5 year old in a princess costume standing at your front door, and send that many to your partner.

Yes, it's perfectly acceptable to send a single Tootsie Roll to your partner (mutters stingy git). I don't recommend it, though. Because if they send you back a roll of toilet paper, you're obligated to go outside and throw the toilet paper into the trees on your front lawn. I'm just warning you of the consequences...

You will have TEN partners. TEN (or as many people as sign up: whichever is less). So if you go out and get the 12-pack of your favorite Halloween candy, you'll have two pieces left over for yourself, and you won't get sick of them.

Candy must be individually wrapped, still in its wrapper. No razor blade candy for our trick-or-treaters!

As with Halloween, you don't really get a say in what you get, so if you're so allergic to nuts/sugar/caffeine/etc. that you can't have it come into the house, don't play. Seriously-- I don't want anyone ending up in the hospital over this swap. If it's safe as long as it's in the wrapper, feel free to participate, but understand you might get candy you can't eat.

US only, because postage is a pain.

I reserve the right to send flakers a TRICK in the mail!

Also, I will angel everyone in this swap, so you are absolutely sure to receive something cool from going trick or treating with me! Unless you're a flaker. In which case, you will get a mousetrap. Maybe with a mouse in it. I haven't decided yet.

Please send by the October 15 cut-off date, so everyone has time to eat their candy before Halloween. That's the other nice thing about being a grown up.

Oh, yeah. As a bonus (not required): send a picture of yourself in a Halloween costume to your partners, something that says that's you in the pink ballerina costume begging for food....

I'm joining, but I don't think I have a costume photo. I hope that's okay!

Yeah, that's just bonus/extra, if you want to send it.
